hello .just wondering about long term meth. scripts.its just jike the lyric [television drug of the nation].we get our dose,pretty high in some cases ,but whos argueing.sometimes i feel sheeplike wait4 dis n dat etc.suppose i should think myself lucky 2 be on a decent dose no bother....but u sometimes feel at there beck n call forever tied to it.am goin on thanks davey

i think it all depends. if u are familiar with my posts u know my situation. my dad was a recovering heroin addict for 16 years, he took methadone for 4 years, and his life was pure hell according to him, cause you cant miss a day orr your sick as a dog or cxan relapse. well just 1 yearago he relapsed and itook me 5 months to get hinm in to detox, 2 different times, the first time they gave him suboxone and he abused it so he stil can get high!!!!
finally i couldnt take it, he is 52 at at a heart attack, i took him to detox and he stayed for 7 days!!!!! they put him on methadone taper, so when he got out he was off everythhing. he has been clean since June 1 2006, and we are just going forward....so everyone has there one meth story....so that was my dads. he preffered the short term methadone oppose to suboxone and long term methadone!!!!!! but he goes to AA and IOP so he knows he wants to live, and this is coming from nikki, his 26 year old daughter who is an addict to pills!!!!!!

pretty new 2 this site nikki,good 2 here your dad is doin good.again the diff. between prescribing in the u.s&europe seems 2 be massive.gonna go off one ,just heard an old mate &drug taking partner woz found o.d in his bed.age 42 with 2 teenage kids,he woz no angel etc.but i doubt it woz just gear he o.d on ,am not a betting man but our old pal methedone probobly had a hand in it .this goes out 2 stevie [the b%$^$ds cant get u now].thanks davey
Davey first let me say sorry about your friend i had a friend od well when she died she wasnt a friend any more as i was clean i know that sounded bad and i dont mean it like that but you know what its like they are friends when you are using as soon as you stop they dont really want to know as they know you wont help them get drugs she had 2 small children just got out of jail and she took a hit never woke up pretty sh&t but i suppose that is how it goes i do belive that they dish out meth like it is sweeties but in my case no doc or drug worker has ever given me anything but thats life also i just know that meth is a bad thing to mess with as it is so easy to od I live in Scotland and one small child died due to taking his parents meth and one gave her kid meth to keep him quiet people like that should be left to do there rattle without any help. Me i work have a house husband and 2 wonderful kids and they didnt think that i was a good candidate to be put on a script. Maybe if i lost my job my house and my kids they would of thought me fit to get something sorry for the rant oit just gets me mad sometimes take care and sorry for your loss sue
sue thanks for that.i can deffo see were your coming from ,with your mention of not being able 2 get meth or whatever.u do all bleedin society requires 2 be [normal in their eyes]and still get kicked back.thats why because it took me a whilr 2 get on a programme i dont wanna come off coz if i relapsed i dont want 2 go through all the same red tape i did before i was taken on.take it eze best of.. davey
