Hi Newbie, Sorry I didn't respond sooner. I was very sad about my slip-up but I did fine the rest of the weekend. Thank you so much for being there for me and reaching out to others for help. Your a very good person. How are you doing with your struggle? I have counseling this week so that will help. Tomorrow I am going back to AA. I hope all is well with you and again thank you. I'll be thinking of you. Let me know how you are doing.
Hi Eyesopen, glad your back on track and it is really nice to hear from you. I am drinking heavily again, bit I REALLY want to stop. I know you and everyone else is here for the support I need. Just feeling down today, hating myself for letting this get so out of control.

Just a quick hello from someone who usually posts on the pain pill forum. We're all in the same boat, more or less, but in reading some of the posts here on alcohol, my heart really goes out to you. That has got to be the hardest because of the availability of booze. I mean, with pills, you have to have a reason, or something, but with alcohol, you just have to go to the store and buy it, so in my eyes, this makes it alot more difficult. I maybe don't have any right to post here, I hope I'm not offending anyone, I'm just trying to say that my heart goes out to you and I wish all of you nothing but the best.......God Bless you......Briar

Hi Briar, please don't think you are offending anyone by posting in this section, I don't believe we have our own segregated groups, I think in a way we are all in the same dilemna, this struggle over addiction of many sorts that we just reach out for support of one another. In my opinion no addiction is simpler or harder than the other (pills over alcohol) just trying to overcome these harmful substances with your own inner control is soooooooooo hard. I think that if we all help each other, read each other's struggles, we can relate in many ways. I hope you are doing okay and feel free anytime to reach out if you need. Trust me, there are a lot of good people willing to help, here in this "section"and I am sure in all the others. Take Care. Newbie71
Hi Newbie & Briar - Yesterday was my first day of therapy and it was great. He told me that I would definitely succeed (easy for him to say). All I have to do is not drink. (Go figure, people get paid to say that) I have to see him once a week. He really was very nice. He's a recovering alcoholic as well. Newbie-don't hate yourself because you're drinking, you are a good person who has an addiction. We are all struggling, its very hard to deal with. I wish you were able to go to AA or see someone. It is even harder to do alone. But please always know that I am here, thinking about you and praying for you. You were there for me when I fell. Briar-I hope you are doing well and let us know how everything is going for you. Remember we are all in this together and we are here to help each other. No matter what the addiction is.
Hi Eyesopen, how are you? I am still the fool. I am glad you are happy with your therapist. I also like to hear the fact that you got yourself right back sober when you fell. I am on and off drinking and still trying. Take care of yourself and nice to hear from you....Newbie71.
