well troops its fathers day tomorrow in our part of the world.the day when u get brekky in bed and treated like a lord!funny thing is i think we must have different days for it accross the pond as i remember someone posting something bout mothers day and i nearly had a fit,i had to jump up,dive out and ask the 1st couple of people i came to if it was indeed mothers day,reason i asked 1st couple o peeps was to double check as i hate forgetting those days or their ma,s birthday as feelings get hurt and for 1 or 2 days a year the effort should be made.i would imagine our davey will get a lazy day for the super dad that he is and it will be well deserved,so here,s to u davey.must admit i would be quite hurt myself if i didnt get a card,i dont care nowt for prezzies though its always nice to get one but i do get hurt if there is no card.on my birthday my eldest daughter who is now 19 forgot to send one every now and again,or it was posted,has it not arrived yet dad?that really made me mad as my birthday is on the same day as her mums so there was no excuse...anyway for all u doting dads among us,,HAPPY FATHERS DAY....eck
Eck my man got the card already Sian did it in skool so i thought it was a matter of having too......but i gave her a few euro to go to the shop but fairplay to the lass she biout me a card to go with the class one she had done all by herself in skool.Also shes gettin up xtra early to to do me brekkie.....which is sound.Hoping you have a nice relaxing day with a couple of cards to boot ya deserve them pal.Take ya big rhino......yer mate .....Davey
Ever since my Dad passed away 4 yrs ago, fathers days brings both good memories & the sad realization that Dad & I cant have that smoke & coffee every morning. I miss the days when we would argue over different issues going on in the world, yet forget all that when we went to a ballgame & just had a great time together.
I can honestly say, at times (usually when he was bailing me out) the shame he felt because of my addiction must have been horrible.
Then when I would do something to make him proud -and all was good. He loved & treated my son like every grandfather treats his 1st grandson !

Now -my kid
He is down the Jersey shore, doesnt call all week- so I don't even know if he will tomorrow. I guess he knows its Fathers day & will call or better yet make the trip north to spend the day with his "ol man"- but we,ll see.
Sometimes you don't know what you had till its gone- its a tough lesson of life.
All the more reason to embrace the loved ones in our life when we can

got the cards guys,3 in total,brekkie was another matter though,to be honest since i came back from my tours ive not had a single home cooked meal,,whoops,i tell a lie ive had one,fish,chips and peas and lovely it was too,i got my cards though and thats the main thing and when my youngest is old enough im sure she will make me all the brekkies i can eat..happy fathers day guys..eck
