Manselm, I know that everything is bleak and hopeless looking right at this point. I hope you know that part of being an addict is the fact that we are powerless over our addiction. Addiction is a cunning foe and recovery is a long nonending road. Recovery has a lot of pitfalls, curves, and hills we need to overcome. Every morning I remind myself " I choose not to use today". Everynight I give a gratitude prayer to whatever or whomever higher power has helped support me through another day. And allowed me to end the day still clean. I am learning the tools I need to use to fight my foe. Never the less I still stay very vigilent. It takes only a slight moment of relaxing my guard or weakening my resolve and my addictive behavior and cravings sneak into the wedge. I hope you know I am not disappointed or mad about your lapse. I just want you to know that I am here to support and care about you. Please, for yourself and your family, grab up your sword. Dust off your britches. Mount your steed and start battling all addict's dragon; The disease of addiction. My support,,,,Linda
Dear lindella I am worried I haven't heard back from him?her and I don't know what to do to help...mollyjean
mollyjean, I want you to accept the fact that we can care and try to help others to the best of our ability. The bottom line is that only they can make their choices. Ultimentally our help and support only goes as far as they allow it to. So... No matter what happens we have tried our hardest. And that is all that we can do. Besides hope that we somehow have said the words that will help resolve their suffering. Thanks Mollyjean. For coming on here and being here so they can see that they are not alone. That there are people who care about them and their problems. You are doing a fantastic job of showing your care and concern. My resect to you and to all who care and put an effort in to helping others. Your friend Linda
Manselm, Please ease our minds and let us know you're still out there. Thanks, your friend, Linda
