I'd say definitly take your Paxil. Dang, I didn't know that you were on an a/d too. Many of us here take an a/d, not all, but most. It will help you with the w/d when the time comes to get off of the meds. Hey, you don't have to start a new thread everytime you want to talk to me, I'm checking your original threads and I can see when you or someone else has posted. If it makes you feel better starting a new thread, go ahead and do so. I'm here to help you in anyway that I can.

I agree Cowgirl, it would be a good idea for Kass to ask a doctor about the Paxil. I'm just curious as to why she stopped taking it... I would never consider tossing my a/d's.
Kass, if you are reading this, could you tell us how long you have been off of the Paxil and why you stopped taking it? It really would be a good idea to speak to your doctor about the Paxil before you resume taking it, but if you suffer from depression and have taken it for any amount of time, then I don't see where it could hurt you to resume taking it. Of course, I'm not a doctor, I'm just giving you my opinion.

I AM SUPPOSED TO BE TAKING IT.I STOPPED CAUSE IT MAKES ME ALITTLE DROWSY IN THE DAY TIME AND IFF I TAKE IT TOO CLOSE TO BED TIME ICANT SLEEP....GO FIGURE, IM MORE DEPRESSED NOW THAN EVER AND PANIC ATTACKS WORSE THAN EVER I AM STUPID FOR NOT TAKING IT. AS FAR AS THE DOC IS COCERNED I AM TAKING IT.
That is what I was afraid you were going to tell us. By all means, get your azz back on the Paxil...You should have never stopped taking it without informing your doctor. I'm afraid that is why you are having all of this panic right now. I'm sure that the Paxil is not making you sleepy during the daytime, it is the narcotics that are making you sleepy silly........I use to think the same thing about my a/d's and boy was I wrong...Go figure, that is the addict thinking for us.

Start your paxil again if he says its okay...it still amazes me that some think of a/ds as a bad thing. if you are depressed, medically depressed you do not have enough serotonin in your brain; a/d's simple raise the level back up so you feel better. You wouldnbt feel bad about taking diabetic medicine if you were diabetic right??
I tried a/d/s supposedly to help with my pain levels, but they did nothing for me so stopped taking them,Im now taking 5HTP which is supposed to make your brain MAKE more serotonin....not sure if its working, but think so....lolol
Paxil made me sleepy too, and unable to achieve orgasm...same with effexor...mannerix was the only one i could take and still have a healthy sex life... but just didnt think they were helping me with the whole pain issues so just stopped taking them about a year ago..(Many people whomhave sex problems on a/d find that a change to mannerix works..)
please know you will feel better again, see your doctor a.s.a.p.
