Well guys since I have stopped smoking I have had the hardest time controlling my food. Actuyally I didnt gain weight stopping the pills, it was not until the smoking that it became a problem. I think becuz food tastes like it should really should. Now I am about 15 pounds at least that I need to let go of. I turned the big 50 this year and the pounds do not fall off like they used to. the only thing that remotely works for me is too restrict carbs and then god forbid that you eat carbs again and then boom back on!! well south beach has been the closest I have come to success. I never knew food would become such a battle. I was perusing some south beach forums and found this recipe and it is awesome. its exactly what you need to feel like you are having soemthing special
big breakfast cookie
1/3 cup oatmeal
1 TB whole wheat flour (not enriched wheat flour)
1/3 cup nonfat dry milk
1/4 cup applesauce or 1/4 cup mashed banana
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 TB splenda or other sweetner
mix together spray cookie sheet with pam
oven to 350 for about 20-25 minutes
you can add a little coconut or sprinkle a few mini choc chips
perfect breakfast for me when I cant stand the thought of another egg!!
