What It Was Like, What Happened, What It's Like Now
This is my story and I'm sticking to it.
Maybe you could give a condensed version of your story for all the newcomers and for all to read for inspiration instead of having to go back through all the posts. I believe you have a lot to share that can help others. ..just a thought
Or you could do Colin Rays version of singing it. lol
Pirate,
Did you click on the link? That is a condensed version of his story. It's not all his old posts. It's his life story.
Have a great sunday. :-)

I'm sorry. I thought everyone had Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can get it FREE BY CLICKING HERE.
Thank you skg for sharing and for giving directions to help this ol alkie to be able to read your ESH..... As an alcoholic I am grateful for your ESH. It gave me much HOPE in what the AA program can do for me. :)
WOW Skg, I love your story.. I just finished reading it. That's powerful..
Great stuff Skg, very inspiring. Thankyou for posting that, I think alot of people will get alot from in, I know I certainly did. I am impressed how quickly you have reached where you are today - from the guy who used to lurk to the guy with a full on spiritual awakening and inner peace. Big congratulations, you have put the work in and you deserve all the good stuff. And, yes, even the odd bag of skittles!!
That's wonderful Skg, I'm very happy for you. You work it and it is clearly working for you. Congratulations!

I'm happy that you found that you aren't terminally unique! I prefer to think of you as special not different. I saw the similarities in your story. Thank you for taking the time to write them for yourself and sharing your story with others.
I went to a new noon meeting today. The topic was the sixth step. I admit I was tuned out to some of what was being said. I did hear an echo from a 12 stepper out of Alabama talk about Humility when it comes to step 6. ~ Wink ~ Funny nobody else mentioned it. That word in it's self makes my ears perk up.
You have a God given talent to express written words in ways that are usually and easily understood. You spice them up with fun and sometimes unexpected ways that can make a person laugh. Sometimes rubbing them the wrong way, but is really intended to help people get honest with themselves. You have experienced honesty and humility. Which produces humbleness for the soul, for others. Then there are those writings where I get to look up a new word for the day. I'm naturally curious. Your writings often intrigue me. I sense and sometimes search for the true message. Which I like to believe is good for the healing of my brain and spirit.
You turned out to be a pretty swell guy. The guy you were hiding, the guy you really were intended to be. Pretty much the guy you already were with some human flaws, like all of us. Now you can see the gift of the miracle. With some help from your hp and others who've gone before you. Your sobriety and recovery program has saved your life. May your story help save another.
I appreciate you SKG. Yes, all of you. It has been a pleasure watching you change and grow. You are a miracle! ~ Keep passing it on! Keep coming back!
I hope you don't change to much more. Or, that there are other hidden obsessions. I'm not sure even my eyes can handle another "mankini" here.
Luv,
