Freedom At Last!!!!!!!!!!!

well after 18yrs of hell, nah thats not true it's been bad for the past 8yrs at work, anyways i finally got the courage to say goodbye and quit,i feel such a heavey weight has been lifted, ive been thinkin this over for a long time and weighing out the good and bad and quit with no regrets,i have to go sign papers releasing my 401k and return uniforms then it's offical, this job has been very good to me and my family in the begging but for the last 8yrs has caused 4sugeries and a major pill addiction[no amount of money is worth that],so now i'm going to soul search and then make my next step on what i want to persue.................vinny.
I am happy for you .It definitely takes alot of courage to quit a job when you have a family but it also shows that not only do you have faith but you Trust that God will take care of you for taking care of yourself and that is tremendous to me.I am glad that you feel light again (the burden being lifted) good for you for taking care of you and your sobriety first I have always been told that anything that we put in front of our sobriety we will eventually lose .Sounds like you are thinking of your sober life first andforemost and that is very admirable, what a positive message I cant believe there was nothing about any poop in it?J/K Cristina
Good for you Vinny,

I did that once, took a sabbatical and it was the best thing I could have done.

I just thanked GOD that I was fnancially able to do it. Like you Vinny is was something I had to do for me. I was spent.

Of course my husband after 2 years on my little ' I am trying find myself vacation if you will" wanted to know just how long it was going to take me to ' find myself' .. LOL

Isn't it a great feeling???

Have fun with it..

Brook
Oh, vinny, good for you. That's a brave, smart thing to do.

I know there are others here who work in really toxic, drug-infested settings and are struggling to get clean. Thanks for sharing and showing them that it can be done.

Much love and respect,
Gina
congratulations Vinny! I hope that this step will aid you in your recovery!
Hey Vinny:

I'm so happy for you.
I hope you find something that you love. I have always thought that if you love what you're doing - you will be wonderful at it whatever it may be, a career change or something that you are passionate about at home.

Good luck,
Jean
Hey Vinny,
Now you can pursue that pizza delivery job at a pizza hut near you-LOL I am just kidding... Your right now amount of money is worth your health.. I can only imagine how stressful that job has been on you in the past 18 years. That's not even talking about the physical aspect of it all... I am happy if you are happy. You will find new interests now. One door closes and another one opens. I am here for you always.. Love, Rae aka dingy.
