I started out just taking Lortab 5's. a year and a half later......shooting oxy like heroin. I had good reason for taking Lortabs(back-pain)but all of this started there.I woke up one day and I was injecting MYSELF(always been terrified of needles)with hot oxycontin. WHat the? I looked down and had the worst track marks I had ever seen on a person(guess I sucked at it). I had only been doing this a couple of months at the time, I lost 65 pounds somewhere along the line as well. Decided to stop........MAN, you can't do it yourself. I tried, just gets worse.If you are as far as oxy, you really need pro help. There is no weening, you'll be at it forever. I went to Rapid Detox(yeah the easy way). It worked!!!!
ive been clean for 2 months and i gained back 15 pounds. Dude, I looked bad.
There is hope for people like us.
It makes me feel better to know that someone has gone through this crap, and is now doing fine. I'm on the other end right now and have even considered suicide to just stop the pain. However I could never do that because i've hurt my family enough already. But doesn't this rapid detox cost quite a bit? And what if you don't have insurance, would they still consider taking you?
I started out with percodans lorcets,lortabs,and anything else in that catagory then started on the oxy's just eating them at first then would bite them and ended up snorting them most days was snorting about 8 (80's) I finally realized I needed help I went to treatment center they put me on suboxone and i've been clean for 36 days now i'm going to AA meetings and really working on my recovery program I havn't felt this good in a long time I'm 33 years old and i've been taking pills since I was 17 so if I can do it anyone can with help, that is so I would like to wish anyone who is gonna try to quit good luck and take my advise get help don't try it on your own.
