Today I am giddy. I'm going out to the garden and dig up some soil to plant irises. The plants are a gift from a dear friend who, I swear, must have been a medicine woman in another life or something. Everything she touches thrives. Her garden is awesome! Oh and, she is currently feeding baby squirrels that were abandoned at birth. Little tiny bottles for these critters, it is so sweeeeet. They are tiny little dudes with HUGE feet. They grab at the bottle and climb your arms if you let them......
Anyway, such joy in digging in the dirt......
Literally and figuratively speaking......if you dig deep enough, you'll find some really good stuff in there.......
peace, love and light,
Diana
about 5 years ago I transplanted some rosemary into my garden.. now it has almost taken over my entire front and backyard and killed off everything else that was growing.. but I guess on the plus side I have a lot of rosemary to cook with now... :/
Giddy is a funny word.
Iris was my Grandmothers name. She was a wonderful strong woman however as a child i always thought of her name as part of the eye.
A few days ago a lady came to a AA meeting with two joeys (baby kangaroos) which she is caring for. She needed to go to the toilet and asked me to hold one for her. It was wraped in a denim jacket inside a cloth bag like a pouch. It poked its little head out to see what was going on. It was really special. Something i wouldn't have experienced if i was out drinking and smoking pot.
Good luck with the flowers.

That must have been the sweetest experience, Sharkgirl, do they have pouches yet ? or does that come later? LOL Excuse my ignorance....:-)

Finally got the irises all in the ground and I'm going to a gardening show on the weekend......I have to stick to a budget or I'll spend a small fortune....it's so easy to get caught up in the season. Our winters are so long here in Alberta, we come alive with Spring, big time.
Hope you're doing well today.....
