Ok so for the bad news first--The program i am in is a second chance program that is headed by a pastor who was very convincing and relieved many of my worries about my future and claimed he would be helping me do many things to get back on my feet like get my g.e.d. get into school provide transportation to work and my sons school, help with getting a car etc....(none of that has happened after 4 months in the program) anyway the townhouse i had originally been scheduled for was roach infested to a ridiculouse degree, so i was moved into a setellite apartment across town because i refused to accept the one i was given, I have grown to love my place and finally im starting to feel like i have a home, well i just foungd out that we would be having to be out by the 1st because the pastor failed to pay our rent or give all the proper paperwork to the managers of this complex(this is a government subsidized program) and he has been given ample amount of time--lately he has been telling us a different story and warning us to stay away from the management and that we are not allowed to speak with them(whats that??) well our front door code was changed so i HAD to speak with them and oh boy did i learn alot they showed me this review which ive copied and pasted here
This place is currently under investigation for Using a 3rd party By the Name of Pastor Tony R. Caldwell to intimidate, harass and illegally evict Leasing tenants. He has a long criminal history as well as he has had several stalking and harassment charges brought against him. He forces tenants to work without pay to clean and maintain the Hilltop apartments each person 15 hours a month without pay and under threat of eviction. He uses the name Pastor as a tool to gain respect of those who are not aware of his scams. Hilltop does not employ him but gives him the keys to your apartment and will not prevent him from throwing you out , entering your apartment or harassment. They make to much money off of people he brings in to there apartments. He lures in Low income, disabled and the homeless with unbelievable promises of assistance from his church . His church has been closed 7 times and he is wanted for over $100,000 from several tenants and leasing agencies he uses false addresses and cannot be served. For now...
So i went ahead and signed up with the apartment and now will be paying them directly the only thing is --he has keys to my place and i am worried about him confronting me--I hate not feeling safe, i work too dang hard for him to mess this up but from what he has said to me he is very influental in the comunity--what do you all think i should do
good news--I was shoppin at the goodwill and a "santas helper " handed me a $100.00 bill wow--there is a god--he answered my prayer--i was completely broke till next check
