Good Morning-day 3 (almost)

Hello to Everyone ;o),
I hope you all had a good nights rest and are feeling good. It was great reading all of the posts. You are all so supportive to each other. Plus, the knowledge you gain. Things you have gone through, or now going through. Well I am getting ready to start Day 3. Symptoms are pretty much at the height, nausea, chills/sweats, sneezing, fatigue, and the "legs". They are going "crazy". Does anyone know how long before the "legs" stop hurting and jumping? I am off to take a bath. I slept a little last night, but was so uncomfortable. Alright, enough *itching lololol. I pray today will be over soon ;o). Taking one hour, or one minute at a time. I am still in a fog, but I remember when that breaks, I will feel alot better. I am being optimistic, but hoping tomorrow will be better. I am trying to move around, but it's pretty hard. I am so dizzy, and weak. Just taking baths. I can't watch TV or read, I just lay here and listen to music. Thanks for listening. I hope all of you have a great day, and thanks for your support ;o). Take care, Best Wishes
Hi BW --

You're not *itching, just telling it like it is in w/d. I can identify with everything you said. Words of encouragement? Day 3 was by far the worst for me, and then it got better fast (physically), so there is a light at the end of the tunnel and you're fast approaching it! I no longer had the "running" legs after Day 4 or 5. I've heard that hot baths w/Epsom salts are good for that; for me, just walking and walking and walking....seemed to help. I know the fatigue feels oppressive right now, but it's funny how once I started moving, it kind of built momentum. Anyway, congrats on getting through the past 48 hours -- hang in! M.
Aww bestwishes,
Sorry to hear you are feeling so hrrible today! I know withdrawls suck. Can't tell you how long the leg pains will be everyone is different. When I stopped taking methadone after 2 years I had leg pain, leg cramps, charlie horses and you name it in the legs for a good month.. It felt like forever at the time. Withdrawling off percocet wasn't but maybe 1-2 weeks and vicodin the same about 1-2 weeks. Guess it depend on what you were tking and for how long, bla bla bla.... All I know is it sucks no matter what.... If you need someone to just talk or to complain to I am here for you! I know I complained/whined/moaned and groaned when I was withdrawling. I know what you are feeling but just think everyday is a day closer to sleeping good at night, no leg pain and being free of pills.... Count the days, count the hours what ever helps you get trough it. Eat banana's or take some pottassium. Make sure you are taking a good multi-vitamin and some B-12 works great for energy too. Hang n there,YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what an incredible gift you are giving yourself, bw!

the gift of recovery!

might i suggest that you tie a great big red bow around those legs and walk it on into a meeting. my pain, whether physical or emotional or spiritual, always subsides when i'm surrounded by others who are in the solution. somehow, it gets me out of me and i begin to focus on things that take my mind off of my misery.

this too shall pass, darling. you go girl! i'm so proud of you.

love -

sammy
I remember the "leg" thing...restless legs. I would get up out of bed and try stretching them, running, anything. They just wouldn't stop. The sneezing, runny nose was bad too. Of course, the flu symptoms sucked too. After day 5 all of that should be behind you....then the "foggy" feeling should go away after two weeks.
Hello bw, we have bith talked about methadone withdraw but you are a strong person and i know that u can do it, i did, the leg cramps suck and it shall to pass, i got a few charlie horses & boy did those really, really hurt! hang in there girly it gets better, your friend, mitzy
