As for the all the compulsive shopping while high.......I actually got addicted to EBAY while using. The thrill of winning an auction just blew me away! Bought about 1000 things. But then I resold most of it and actually made money in the end, so it's OK.

Good morning trideitmom, how are you doing today? MJ sounds so good today wish i was her, hope all goes well for her. Seems like alot went on last night after we left, i counldn't stay on here because my baby needed me to hold and cuddle her, seems like when their sick all they want is their mom. But thats okay even if she's 25 , i'll still hold her !!!!!! I'am sure she'll want that.

morning Tina............yes, it is very nice here today. It's been 70 for the past 2 days. Very strange for this time of year, but we'll take it. My guys have been having a blast outside.

Well, that is sweet! I had my son when my daughter was 13, so I can relate. What a blessing he was and is. I was almost 40 when he was born and in my neck of the woods where kids are having babies, that makes me a very old mom. Just one more reason to get healthy or I won't be around to see him grow up, huh?
12 and 14 year old girls? My prayers are with you. That was a tough age for my daughter. Very hormonal and emotional! But 18 months is soooo fun........so innocent and curious. I envy you.

Hormones fly all the time...........They are all great, and god really blessed us with the little one. I really think she was sent for the hubby, that he needed her someway. She just seems to know when he is down and needs some hugs and kisses.....
Funny when you talked about how old you were when you had your last one........Was planned so that when I turned 45 my youngest would be a senior.....Now I get to do it all over and will be 57 when the baby turns 20....atleast she will keep me young!

I start a new job tomorrow; one that isn't a high-pressure "career" like I've had in the past, which only contributed to me using more.This one is 4 days a week, 8-5 for an oral surgeon. Of course I know what you're thinking (access to meds) and I've thought of that, too. I am going to work my program and pray, and keep talking to you guys!

Good luck on your new job. I'm a drug rep and I have access to all of the sample closets in the Dr.'s offices, narcotics are no longer sampled. I think they stopped this because I was stealing them all, lol. Anyway, I think you'll be fine.

Misty.......My husband and I say ours will keep us young or kill us. LOL My son is nothing like my "girly" daughter. He is so rambunctuous, energetic, athletic.......everything she was not. That's OK, though. I am going to indulge all his "maleness" with joy. He sure keeps us going!
I had lost several babies before he came along.....and decided it was not meant to be .....then BAM! ........out of the blue I was pg. at 39...... had a perfect pregnancy and a healthy baby. He is the only boy on husband's side of family. He was just meant to be! What a awesome reason for staying clean your hubby and I both have.
hello everyone , today Im calling programs. One of them mentioned methadone treatment for a short time does anyone know about this? I know it helped my sister in law get off of heroin. Im using darvocet for a back injury by the way and have been on them for a year & a half
Wense..........I am no expert, and there may be better advice to be given to you...but.....to start methadone for a darvocet addiction would be jumping out of the frying pan into the fire.
Please read your initial thread from yesterday all the way through. Someone talked about the similarities of the two, but methadone is MUCH stronger and a real bear to come off of. I would highly recommend that you not go that route at all.

Trideltmom, thank you , Im still calling treatment places , I know it's just darvocet but I'm like scared of withdrals and I have to go to work and function so im getting anxiety from this whole thing. am i making a big deal about it?
Mom, how old is your son? I have on 18 and one 16 and they are both a piece of work.
Wenses, the anxiety of coming withdrawals are probably as bad as the withdrawals. I dont think I would do methadone, either wean down and get the help of a doc with catapress (clonidine), maybe something to help sleep short term or try the sub route.

Wenses.....I am sorry for making it sound like you're over reacting or something. You're not at all. It's just that methadone is very serious stuff. And it is very hard to come off of. There has got to be an easier way to quit the Darvocet. Methadone is usually used for opiate addicts and/or herion, like you mentioned.
Danny........the little darling just turned 9! and he is 5'1" and weighs 110 lbs.............constant motion and laughter.........I can't get enough of him! A son was the only thing missing from my life and God blessed with quite a specimen!
