Thanks very much. I am feeling much better. It was just my usual winter blues manifesting as irritability so I thought I'd better keep my short temper off the board. Dr. M and I discussed my taking Nardil, an MAOI (mono amine oxidase inhibitor) but I looked at the side effects and they are so dire, I did some further research and discovered that chocolate is a natural MAOI.
I know it sounds nuts, but I'm taking about a tablespoon of raw cacao nibs or 99% cacao cooking chocolate a day and I feel fine again.

Well, this no salt thing is hard, but not so much cuz I can't have it, It's because it takes me forever to read all the labels LMAO
one thing I did find tho was very low sodium Tuna, OMG It was so good...I always thought tuna was salty but never realized how bad till I ate the other kind..........I look at everything people are buying as I check them out of the store, I'm getting desperate & hungry!.......lol

dottie, I can only imagine how hard it is to cut out salt, i just love it, and use it liberally...I bought the morton lite salt, but I just don't get enough flavor of of it...I did find a mrs dash tomato basil seasoning that was great, don't know how much sodium there is, but you might want to have a look-see because it really does add so much flavor.

Thanks, The worst part of this is I Love to eat, and with the holidays coming up I just KNOW all bets are off, I'm gonna do the best I can.....but since I will not be cooking for Thanksgiving this year, I'm at the mercy of whoever cooks. LOL

I'm more into sweets...ice cream is my downfall, though for the most part I've cut it down to about 2 bowls a week...I stopped buying cookies, but usually buy a brownie mix. Friday is my sons BD, he'll be 19, so more BD cake. It's also the first anniversary of my father-in-law's death, I felt so sad for Tyler last year because his Pappaw died, and all his BD attention was diverted, we had his BD cake 4 days later.
