Well hello all its a clear day so far in NY.We may get freezen rain later.Who is all on today?I think I'm finally gonna put the Christmas stuff away.Yesterday was catch up laundry day.Well I should be on for a bit if anyone wants to chat.....mj
Hey MJ- I'm here. It's in the 50's again today
Are you going for your bike ride? Its pretty nice here now but they say maybe freezing rain later.Oh ya know what????I took the 16yr out driving yesterday because I haven't for awhile. She is doing pretty darn good & you can tell shes use to my Jimmy.I'm real proud of her.I even took her in some lite traffic & she didn't panick.Of course she was only going about 35-40 mph so that makes a difference.....mj
Good morning MJ..........fellow morning person. How are you today? Still up for your big day coming up? Hope so! It is going to be the best thing you ever did! Stay strong!
It was 70 degrees here yesterday. Had the doors open! Don't know what it will do today.
Good luck on the undecorating! It sucks. I did about 3-4 lg. Rubbermaid boxes yesterday plus the tree. My back aches from going up and down stairs carrying it all. Hope to finish today. We'll see.
I am a seamstress. Love to sew and make things for the house. Ofcourse that means my friends are always calling on me to hem pants, etc. I have 3 to do today. THe problem is, I can not concentrate enough to do it right anymore. Everything I've heard and read says that is part of recovery. Loss of concentration on detailed projects. Really miss sewing, but just can not do it. I am an avid reader as well, and find I just skim over the print now. Hope all of those brain cells repair themselves so I can get back in to my hobbies. Hope I didn't scare anyone!
Have a wonderful day up there in NY! I going to be around for awhile.
Wow mom you really are little miss homemaker.Thats cool at least you & I can have some good domestic talks huh?The B/F is here so he gets to drag the tree out.I always get a real one.I love them.Right now I'm being all lazy and talking on here......Oh yes I have settled alittle about Tues.I just think I'm alittle nervous because its something new to me.I've NEVER been in a program before. But I'm sure its for the best. When it comes to pain pills I just have NO CONTROL.I cant wait for the time to come when they no longer control my life. Its like getting rid of a BAD relationship, but getting away from a man is alot easier....mj
MJ.........used to be a super homemaker. Not sure what the "real me" will be. The jury is still out. I'll take whatever it is as long as it's not dependent on pills! LOL
I know about the new and different being scary, but as long as it's under a DR's supervision, it has to be better for you, huh? I have read so many good things on here about the SUB. program, I am very happy for you! It's all gonna be uphill from here!
I sure did not know that Ultram and Tramadol are the same. And I thought I knew it all about drugs!!! LOL
PS.............Morning Danny! Hope you're doing super today!
Hi you mentioned reading what do you like to read?In this past year I have spent endless amounts on true crime and Forensic books????mj
MJ...........I don't know how to classify what I read...........Current fiction, but NOT Danielle Steele type. I am a reading snob. LOL Favorite writer is Pat Conroy (Prince of Tides, Great Santini). I actually received a signed copy of his new book for Christmas!!!
Also love John Irving, Wally Lamb, Anita Shrieve, Barbara Kingsolver. I am currently reading Tom Wolf's I AM CHARLOTTE SIMMONS. Don't like it that much, but will read it for lack of having anything else to read right now.
I love Ann Rule books I have almost all of them. She was a police officer and a writer for True Detective mag.She also worked at a crisis center with Ted Bundy if you can belive that.I'm reading 2 different books right now.1 is about inside OJ's defence team and the other is a book by Katherine Hepburn her auto bio.Pretty different areas but I can do 2 books at a time like that.....mj
I have read Ann Rule. But I don't remember which ones. Also like autos, some. But I stick mainly to stuff about fictictious, dysfuntional types like myself. LOL I have read most of the stuff Oprah suggests before she suggests it. And most of that is about sad, struggling individuals. LOL
I rarely retain much of what is in a fiction novel, unless it is very good! I bought one the other day and when I sat down to read it, realized I had already read it and bought it. That is sad, huh?
Oh my gosh I;'ve done the same thing.Thankfully the book store I go to knows me so exchanging it was easy.I don't know many fiction books.I use to love VC Andrews firt couple series, but after she died I kinda loss interest...mj
Good Morning Molly, Carol.....

Hey Misty.........Good morning.........are you doing good today, you sweet lady?
I read Beach House. Like to read Patterson sometimes. Hope I didn't offend any Danielle Stelle readers out there. Just not my thing. They all seem the same, only the names are different. So predictable.
Did you girls read the Ya Ya Sisters?
Hi tina I like true crime stories, talk about sick some of these serial killers are real twisted. My daughter make fun of me saying thats why I don't let them do this or that but really there are some real sickos in real life....mj
Whats Ya Ya sisters about is it like that movie????mj
Yes, the movie came from the book. But ofcouse, the book is much better. Highly recommend it. Don't judge it on the movie. They always destroy the author's real story in the movie.
Well I've never seen the movie but I wanted to it look like my disfuctional family(not to be confused with my girls and B/F.....mj
Hi Girls.....
I am like the public library, I read it all.....from sci-fi, Clarke, Asnimov......then King/wife included, both Pattersons, Kellerman/wife included, Mc Bain,Clancy, Deaver, Cromwell, Rice, Barker.....the list goes on and on......Just as long as it isn't a love story........Prefer men authors over women most times.....lol
Reading I finds is a great stress reliever.....
Things are going good......all the decorations are down, not much to do but hang out bumming today and watching football....
Getting ready to go cook some brunch and wake the sleeping teenagers........

Tina, What time should I arrive? I was just telling hubby it's time to think about eating b'fast. My guys are off the the skatepark today and leaving me here to fend for myself. Maybe I'll go and see what clean fun I can get into.
I am feeling much better yesterday and today. I know the Prozac couldn't have kicked in that fast. Maybe just knowing I took it! LOL Seems my pity party has died down a little, anyway. Maybe I'll tackle some of these returns to the mall. Nah. Don't want to do that. Guess I will stay home and try to hem these pants. Yuck! You girls have a great day and enjoy Sunday. Don't know about you, but I wish I were in church.
Take care of yourselves today!
