Janet once again the Chicken recipe was so damn good.. the 'boys' couldn't get enough of it.. well the men in the family.
I am hard to please when it comes to food, and I thought it was great. Not many dishes I fix twice, this one is a regular now in our family.

I would love a good Chili recipe.
Keep in mind, meat and potato type of folks, Chicken, Beef. Not pork. Only sis and I eat the salty country ham.
Sister and I are also the only ones that eat okra, grits, cornbread, stewed tomatoes.

Paula Dean is my hero! I love watching her show....this week I'm going to do some chicken and dumplings, which is really my mother-in-law's forte.
I have a week to get 2 houses clean for mom and dads arrival. So I'm going to spend a little time each day getting this done, and pray it doesn't flare my fibro too much.
I ordered some unfinished chairs yesterday to go with the kitchen table that my husband and his brother have built, it's beautiful, made out of purple heart cedar. We hope to be in the house the second week of December, just in time for Xmas. such a long time coming.

What kind of Chairs are you going to get?
I ordered some mexican style ladderback chairs, they are made of brazilian pine, which has alot of red running through the wood...it's actually the same kind of wood that we have in our bedroom and the staircase. We will stain it cedar colored. My kitchen has a lot of terra-cotta color to it, though we have put several different colors and textures of wood in it. From blonde to cedar...I made a wrong choice on the stain on the wall in there, came out too dark, but we've managed to make it work.
