I had applied for a job at the city clerks office as a deputy clerk last month...I figured I was out of the running because I hadn't gotten a call..
Yippee, I just got a call for an interview on the 19th. They said it was for a 32 hr a week position, but thought that after the first of the year they could budget it as a 40 hr week. I am so excited!
Pray for me, I really want to get back into the working world and to get a steady check!

I am so happy for you. I have also wanted to get back into working possibly part-time. I take care of a 3 and 5 yr old during the day but I sometimes wish I could do more to contribute to our finances. I used to sell around 50 or so items(antiques) a week on Ebay, and have even thought of maybe dabbling with that some more. So, I can understand your wanting to get back into the working world. It can also add much needed structure to ones day.

thanks all, i have been in real estate for the past 3 years...unfortunately I'm not too good at structuring my time, and then i got involved in the cocaine, trying to keep up with everyone else. I just don't have the dog eat dog attitude that the profession requires, so therefore, I didn't do really well. Plus, I didn't have a large client base, from not being around this area. I am going to my company Christmas party and was planning on telling my broker that I can't continue in this profession, this has given me a sense of hope and confidence that will help me get through this confrontation.
I am going to pray daily, I really need this job. I did an internship doing the same job for seven months after I got my Paralegal degree, but was not offered a position close enough for it to be feasible. I did enjoy this job when I did it. I've always wanted to work in the legal system and now again, I have this chance.
