Goos All yesterday was a sad day for me.My last as a volenteer for AWAN.We had 3 cats left(2 kittens who were adopted last night)& now theres only 1 left.Today is the last day so hopefully she'll get adopted.Anyways I was so sad yesterday I came home & just cleaned & cleaned & cleaned.(therapy for me)
So now Im sort of stuck in limbo.I should hear about the paying position this week & Pet Smart highly recommended me as a volenteer for the next agency thats moving in but they allow declawing & Im so against that I dont know....I suppose things will work out as they are suppose to.
Are any beaners around???

Sorry about your last day, but as you know, other things are in the works for you, and they will be just as fulfilling for you. You have come so far, and the good things are going to start rolling in for you now that you are out there and reaching out.
I am off to work today. Have to go and spend the day at one of my stores. Spring and prom are coming and we are busy getting ready for that.

Carol, so sorry about Georgia, we had to put our cat down this past weekend bc it got hit by a car and had a broken back. Poor Jana had her dog put down also, someone in her trailer park poisoned her...Jana was close to inconsolable. It was a sad weekend for us.

Im sorry Ive not been on was there news on Georgia???Carol if its bad news please know that Ive thought so many time of her.I know what its like to loose a beloved pet.I believe like 6 years ago the Day after Christmas I had to Brandy Lynn (a beautiful Maine Coon Cat)down.Ill never forget holding her after they gave her the shot.

SO sorry about your cat. It's tough, very tough, to lose a pet. We had Georgia for 8 years and I can not tell you how much we all miss her. Well, I guess you know.
Amy's (Redd) dog's sister had puppies Thursday, yellow labs, and I MAY go up there and get one of them for Cade in April. She has talked so much about what great dogs they are, and since we are going to buy a yellow lab puppie, anyway, I am giving serious thought to making the trip to get one of her's.

No Dr yet, I'm not running fever yet so I don't see a point. I still have blisters at the back of my tongue, but this morning it was mainly sinus drip and my chest is still clear. If I start running fever I will go.

Hey Sabrina, No, there is no news of her. It's been so long now, 11 days, I don't expect we will ever know what happened.
IF by chance she shows up or we find out anything, I will be sure to start a thread letting you know. So many of you here have been so kind and understanding about what we've been going through since she disappeared, and it means a lot to me to know I do have some real friends here, after all!! :-)

I'm so sorry about your pet. I hope that you get some good news soon about Georgia
. My little Boston Terrier expired right before Christmas and it devastated me. I cried my eyes out for days and couldn't even talk about her for the longest time. She was like one of the children and we loved her so. She was so smart too. We had to spell certain words around her like if we wanted to go out and then she began understanding the words we spelled, lol. I was so fortunate to have her in my life for ten years. My husband wanted to buy me another puppy but it's still just too soon. My other little Boston is just lost without her and follows my every move now. He searched and searched all over the house for Niccki after she died.

i have a painful heel spur and constant numbness in my left hand, may be carpal tunnel,my ankles are swollen twice the size they should be and my chiropractor noticed it yesterday and told me to get that checked asap. i told them i have had this problem since july, it started in rehab i was seen by my doctors nurse when i got out and all she did was give me water pills.i kept thinking it might be from the sub but i googled sub yesterday and it didnt list swelling as a side effect.
deep vein thrombosis, kidney failure from diabetes were some of the possibilities i googled. i see the dr today so i will keep you guys posted. they probably will do a dopplar test.
i worry though because i am in so much discomfort from the heel spur and hand and i dont want to have to do surgery because thats how i got addicted to vicodin. jewels

To me the Goos is just a place to come & wake up with friends,like having coffee with friends,.
The topics range from recovery,to our children to our lives whatever we feel like discussing.Its not a members ONLY club,everyone is welcomed & Im so happy to say that out of ALL the post on here....the GOOS really has NEVER had any arguements or cattiness etc..
To me its a place I enjoy with others & I hope you feel the same
