Morning Kim...
It's Monday morning at work and our computer system is finally fixed after 2 weeks of havoc.....it's so funny that the little things in life can make me smile today....

Anyways, wanted to say hi and say "how about that Mark Martin"....I'm really starting to think he's going to be able to run a part time schedule and still make the chase at the end of the year....Now, wouldn't that be a statement!!

Have a blessed day!

Goos Kim and Stacey! Hope y'all have a good day, I'm sitting her playing G Maw again today...some stuff going on with my stepdaughter, so don't know how long this will last.

Who is it that has a bunny here? Is it Jewels? My hubby found 2 wild baby bunnies and I would love to be able to keep them alive...please post some info. They are so cute!

Well, my little man is making a mess, gotta go watch him...I'll check back.
Morning Stacey and Janet(well...afternoon)

My husband is still baffled. But hes doing well, and thats what matters.Nice to see you ,you havent been around much. You know,i heard about these wonderful monring inspirational posts you email out...i would love to be added to your list,if youre still doing it? Take care~KIM
hi janet
yes its me who has a domesticated rabbit which i could tell you all about rabbit care but wild ones, i am not too sure. did you try to google wild bunny care? as we speak mrs bunny has put her "warren" in my back yard, her usual place is under the phlox with annual sad consequences, dead baby bunnies! :( :(
my dogs get them every year, when will she learn??? when will mrs duck learn too?? shes under a very low deck we have right now nesting, thank goodness too low for my dogs to get to, i couldnt figure out what was under there as the dogs are sniffing in predator mode!
last night she alarmed me, her and her lover have been gracefully floating on my nasty pool cover but they love it, i look forward to them every year! last night she came off the pool cover and stood by me! i was like oh no! please dont tell me shes injured! never ever will she come that close to me unless she was injured or had a broken wing or something. her motherly instincts bless her little heart just HAD to get to her nest whether i was there or not, come to think of it now she did this right when i put the dogs in the house. so here we go again like last year, i will need to count 30 days from now and pray the babies arent attacked by my dogs when they hatch and leave for the neighborhood pond we have. last year the babies hatched (after much prayer so i wouldnt miss it) the day i left for rehab for 16 days, i checked the yard to make sure it was safe and thought it was, let the dogs out and heard this pitiful peeping from newborn ducklings, i swear i checked behind the shed, there were no babies in sight at all, mommy duck (mallard) was hysterical, i screamed and screamed for help as i couldnt control 3 dogs, foutunately my son heard me and came to the rescue. i wont have to construct a chicken wire fence this year like i had to last year, like i said they are very well secluded and protected under these deck stairs but 30 days from now i will be having to play an anxious surrogate mother duck! 2 years ago i fought husband who painted the house and wanted to remove a pair of mourning doves nesting in perfect view from my kitchen window in a flower pot hanging from the gutter.i won!
now back to mrs bunny, as we speak she made her nest close to the phlox for which i have been checking weekly to try and deter her from this dangerous site she loves every year. so far so good, until i saw bunny fur fluff under neath my ornamental grasses that are still dried out from winter, i saw some of the mulch moving and sure enough in this frigid cold are new born baby bunnies! damn! what am i gonna do now?? it was so cold that night as darkness was approaching and my poor diabetic feet were like popcicles, but i contsructed another barrier of some makeshift fence that still allows mommy to get to the babies but not the dogs! i pray they make it out alive, i dont know if mommy has returned as i did leave a lot of human scent in the area and i am afraid to peek under the mulch because last year they died. one year they semi made it, i woke up to bunny fur all over the yard and a war zone of dead baby bunnies, i made my son bury them in a shoe box lined with kleenex's but much to my dismay my very young son at the time enjoyed flipping them off the shovel to horrify me! boys! you know how ornery they can be, my sons are the greatest animal lovers i might add despite his desire to flip the dead corpses in the yard.omg! i have enough stress, but it is a blessing that my yard has been chosen as the maternity ward!
i think i will google some wild bunny info too, as i dont understand when mommy bunny comes into the picture here, she partially buries then in a warren? how do they nurse? how do they stay warm?
i have brought baby birds in the house and put them on heating pads in my bathroom! my husband wakes up in disgust at how i have to save all these creatures, might i add those baby birds were released into the wild after i called bird rescue and ask that i be told when they were released!!!
so janet this is what i feed my indoor bunny bun, but this is an adult diet.....
she gets owbow bunny T pellets and timothy hay, very important for digestion, dont do alfalfa hay as it could cause urinary stones. rabbits drink TONS of water too which i provide daily in a tube like dispenser like gerbils get other wise she tips the water over and makes messes in it. it is also very important that an adult rabbit not get overheated on a very hot day or be kept in direct sunlight, do you ever see at the fair how rabbits are caged with a 2 liter bottle of frozen water to lie next to? the housing is a hutch ( in my house) that has to be on a floor surface not carpeting as she sometimes get messy urinating, i provide a clean litter box which rabbits also use as their kitchen, yes it is true, she makes one area her litter area and the other area is where the pellets in a small crock dish and hay are, i do not like pine shavings as the urine soaked shavings stick to the litter box when you go to clean it, i prefer the litter thats looks like recycled paper clumps, much easier to clean. rabbits can be provided carrots and fruit as such but i dont with bunny bun bun as she has a delicate digestive system and got very sick from GI stasis a few years back. in addition she has flannel receiving blankets that she loves to cuddle in and also has a wardrobe of dress up clothes to make her look extra adorable, princess diana's veil and little house on the prarie bonnet i might add. also she has an Easter bonnet that she wears when i put her in a grass filled Easter basket at Easter to entertain children and show them the real Easter bunny. i know, i know i am nuts, but i love her to death and she is the most spoiled adorable cuddly bun who loves to cuddle under my chin when i wrap her like a burrito in soft blankets that she truly enjoys, i love when she blinks with these beautiful long eyelashes, maybe i should put mascara on them huh? j/k.
sorry to write a novel but you touched on my favorite subject my children and my animals mean the world to me, hey did you know they have dog nail polish from opi called "pawlish?" no lie, they even have the pawlish remover? jewels
Thanks for the info about the "pawlish", I have a habit of painting my pet dragons' nails, my children think I'm nuts....whatever makes you smile, I say....

We can't have fur bearing animals due to allergies, so I have reptiles whom i adore. It's so nice to hear about your loving nature. Thank you for that this morning. :-)
Time for me to brag

Kim is he cutting teeth?...I notice the drooly chin..lol

Kenny is cutting some molars. We spent about 3 1/2 hours outside today and he had a ball, I am beat...guess he will just have to get me used to it.

I was glad to have my husband home so we could discuss everything that happened with my call to CPS. I have a thread on the family board if you are curious. It was nice to have him home to spend time with Kenny too. He sat and read him a story tonight. My husband looked at me tonight and said, "She has been feeding this kid Ramen Noodles, Chips and Cookies, no wonder why he is always sick"

I am working to get him on a schedule and to give him some good balanced meals. He has a temper though (as if I didn't lol)

Well, I need to sign off so I can get into bed.

One of the rabbits is trying to jump out of the cage...he's very strong...Dylan accidently let one get away from him and we had to get it out from behind the dryer...lol
O.K. these little guys are A-DOR-ABLE.

Thanks for posting the pics ladies.

Janet, you'll be running miles now and not even know it. Beautiful kids.
