Looks like you are going to miss out on our early spring weather........mid 60's and sunny.......that's what we've had for the past week. Wed. Thur. and Fri. and supposed to be overcast, light showers and low 50's. : (
But I guess that's warmer than what you've been used to.
How long will you be here? You'd better hope you're leaving by Friday. LOL
The SEC basketball championship will be in town.......about 100,000 college basketball fans take over the entire city. And your hotel is right next to Phillips Arena where it is held, so you'll be surrounded by them.
I learned about this the hard way 2 years ago when I got stuck in traffic in ATL for 4, yes FOUR hours because if it. All around me were Cadilacs and Navigators <wink> with BOOM BOOM BOOM blaring from them. It is one of my worst memories ever. It took me 2 solid hours to go one block and by then I was seriously wanting to shoot one of them. I am not a patient person. We were all trying to get to the 2 big malls in Buckhead, and they wound up actually closing the malls mid-afternoon due to overcrowding.
You do not want to be anywhere near downtown ATL after 3 pm on Friday. Run, run as fast as you can!

Tmom, for us in the northeast the 50s IS SPRING. We have the sec here in our city this year too, I tried and couldnt get tickets.

Do you have 100,000 kids invade your town for the games? I am not exaggerating. It may be better organized now, but the first year (2003) they had it here, some people with the city actually lost their jobs because it got so out of hand. It was on the news for days! LOL I really hope it isn't like that in your town. Sorry you didn't get to go, though, it you like that sort of thing. HAHA

Sorry I haven't posted back to you. I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off! Was supposed to fly to Atlanta this morning and my flight got canceled and now I fly out at 7pm tonight! I really hate to fly...I heard it is cold in Atlanta this week! WTF!!! And I wish I was staying for the weekend, I would love to watch the SEC tourney...
Anyway things are good. Only 5 more weeks til my 2nd daugther comes, I can't wait! Her room is now done and ready for her arrival.
My new puppie is adjusting very well. He is the most laid back puppie I have ever seen. A cuddler who just loves to be held. My other dogs are finally adjusting to him which is a releif. My other pug loves him but my lab is finally coming around. My daughter couldn't be happier!. And he is one smart puppy because he already goes outside. Rarely has an accident inside which is nice.
I am glad to hear you are doing well. Sunday I will be 60 days clean and I am very proud of that. I have had thoughts about the high pills gave me and sometimes miss it but I wouldn't go back that route for anything. It just isn't worth it. I finally feel like I have my life back together. I find it inspiring to read posts from new people on this board and watch how they progress in their sobriety. It is very very cool. Anyway I gotta run but wanted to get back to you! I will be in Atlanta late tonight.
