Gentle reminder...
We're all junkies here...we do wds...this is a heroin board for heroin addicts...don't forget that everyone's chemistry is different...as is everyone's habit and length of time ...and every kick is a little different for all of us...but thank you for reaching out..I know your trying to help ... heroin has been my doc and IV my primary choice of delivery unfortunately for over 20 years....I wish you luck and a good stretch of clean time because most of us don't make it off the first or even sometimes the 100th time around....heroin doesn't let go easily..and its a hard and long fight...glad you are sharing and working a program. ..

Of course... you are very right . We all do withdrawals differently . Like i had said im definitely not a doctor. I'm just sharing my experience & home remedies i have tried because maybe someone might not have any clue how withdraw is going to be or they are doing it for the first time . When i started heroin I had no clue what WD even was until it started happening to me . I was never educated about that kind of thing. I do Thank you very much for the support it really helps to come to these forums and have a community of support as well as N/A meetings .
Omgosh . I didn't even realize I missed a crucial part of my post ... That is what I experienced on those days going cold turkey . Also the remedies are some I had used . I was just sharing my experience. Today is my birthday and I'm trying to focus on Sobriety today . I'm also trying to "Chase my recovery , like I chased my addiction " & if I help someone else with what they are going through that would be great .
*Sorry everyone if my post bothers people or if it annoys the community . Just trying to help in any way I know how.

Oh No need to apologize because we all have valid points . I thank you for responding to my posts it helps to know I'm not in this alone I'm on Day 10 sober (and counting). Im feeling better physically, and mentally trying to stay busy . I tracked my withdraw in real time... incase someone didn't think their WD symptoms were normal or wanted to compare or wants to know a bit about what it could be like . We are all here to help others and to communicate with others because we can definitely relate to one another.
Hi WQ, You are doing a good job!! Ten days is a lot to be proud of so keep up the good work. I will check in now and again and follow your progress. Don't let me down!! God Bless, Mary
Thank you very much . :)
Just to update its been 30 days today it took me about a full two weeks going Cold turkey to stop having WD symptoms . Sometimes I get them out of nowhere but they are so light it's barely noticeable.
If I can do it anyone can . If I would've been asked 2 months ago if I was going to stop I would told you "EF NO . NEVER I'LL DIE FOR THIS & I'm good at being a junkie."
Crazy stuff right ?
Well looking now back It was well worth it . 2 weeks was a small price to pay after 5years of hell . I'm finally clean and now in recovery .

Hey WQ, I've been checking on your posts and wondered why you went awol. Glad your doing good though! You too Con. But just wanted to say congrats and your both doing a great job! Mary
you are my hero, the only way I have been able to do that is behind prison walls after 3 or 4 years you forget what that week was like. I don't have another term in me and what you did after 5 years is nothing short of a live miracle. Be blessed be happy you did what so many want especially me, thank you so much.
I have to reply to "first30days" . Thank you I'm very flattered , but I am nowhere close to anyone's hero. I'm an average tiny woman and any one can do what I did. If they have the determination and a "want" to stop.
I have a really stubborn mindset and firmally told myself :
1. "Im going to chase recovery like I've chased my addiction" . 2."I was good at being a junkie but I know I can do wonders in recovery". Also A little mind-trickery too I kept telling myself 3."I don't know why I'm sick ... probably caught a flu bug".
It helped having my husband(clean never used) there all the way his support was a big help . Over the counter medicine, fresh air, home remedies and tons and tons tons of hot showers and baths, water/Powerade .
61days clean

Thank you soon much.... my daughter is on cocaine .....I am totally clue less to any drug or what a person goes though....this information is a great help to me.....I find it educational. I wish someone did the same about cocaine......I understand that each person responds differently however when you don't have a clue thus is plenty .....thank you and stay strong ...
Of course . Ill pray for your daughter.
I'm honestly not sure about cocaine withdraw . I never did it. I think that is more a mental mind trick then anything Physical . The only Physical parts I remember is people losing alot of weight then they had to gain it back but that is usually normal with all hard drugs .
( I'm not an expert though it's just I've seen some friends go through that it's most mental for them not saying it isn't just as or equally hard but it's very different withdrawal. )
