I have a 16 year old son that uses. I've been flushing his stashes for a while now. He steals from me so I put a lock on my bedroom door. He then started unlocking my windows so he can get in when I'm not at home. He spent 2 weeks at a crisis intervention home for boys. He then went to outpaitient rehab and after 3 weeks of dirty tests was transferred to inpatient treatment. He got discharched from there after 9 days for behavior problems. He knows how to manipulate everyone. He's also in counseling. I took everything away from him and let him earn things back. I told him if there were any problems I would call the police. Things have been good for about 3 weeks. Yesterday I gave him $2.00 to buy candy at the store. Instead he took a visit to the dopeman's house. I found his leftovers and a resinated foil pipe so I called the police and had him arrested. An hour later the DH called me that he was being released. I didn't pick up the phone. I thought I would let him sit there a while. I picked hiim up about 8 hours later. Tomorrow we go to court. I sure hope I did the right thing.
Hope court went as well as could be expected.
