Posted this over on the F/F board, wanted to give you guys an update too:

Happy Holidays Everyone!

Just wanted to check in and let you know what's going on. K is going to follow-up visits twice a week (along with me and her Dad) to the Inpatient rehab she was released from on 12/11. She also is in a local outpatient program for the next 6 months to a year dependent on her recovery process, this is four times a week and then we do meetings on top of it. Her Dad and I also are required to attend meetings at the outpatient facility...then throw the holidays in, whew!

So, we went to Court against the twenty year old boyfriend and she pled the fifth and so did he, she was scared to testify against him - the Judge said I could have forced her too, but if she committed perjury she would have gone to jail ~ didn't want that...the statute of limitations for statutory rape is three years in California, so she could come around at some point. He was issued with a Restraining Order for the next three years to protect me and my daughter....oh, on Weds., two days before the court date he shows up a Young People's meeting that I go to and my daughter came with me; I lost it, I called him out to the Parking lot and some other young kids that were defending him and I started yelling and I was ready to kick someone's a** that night, well the Police were called, he ran and they couldn't find him, but they had me go down the PD to calm down. My daughter stayed with my Sponsor, then get this he shows up at a meeting yesterday that she is at...so a few of my guy friends spoke to him and so did my Sponsor....what an idiot....come to find out his Mom is in the Program and his Mom's Sponsor is a friend of mine at AA, the only way I knew this was that they showed up in Court with him!

Otherwise, K has 45 days of sobriety....and is doing pretty good...she is going through a lot of anger issues...revolved around this guy....but hopefully he too can get sober but at different meetings, we may just start going to Women's stags only....hope all of you are doing well.

Wow Geri...you have been BUSY! Glad to hear you are feeling better...and K is doing okay...Sorry to hear about the xbf but hopefully he will just leave her and you alone now...especially with the Restraining order...not sure about Calif law but in NJ if it is broken it is an automatic ride to jail for at least 30 days....

Hi Gina,

Thanks for the reply....we will see how it goes with the xbf of K's........otherwise, the kids left with their Dad and Step-Mom to head down to San Diego for Christmas with my ex-inlaws.....I will spend some time with my BF and his family and take in a meeting or two; oh, and head back over to my sister's house for leftovers! Hope your Christmas day is going well!

Please know that I am sending you good sober energy...just keep putting one foot in front of the other. Are you hittin any Al-anon?
