I won't have much time over the next few days to post so I just wanted to wish all of you a safe and sober holiday. My dad came home to my house today. He'll be here for about 2 weeks. He's pretty weak but getting better every day. Best Christmas present I could have ever asked for.
I'm doing the whole nurse thing which I'm surprizingly good at. I was given a crash course in flushing and cleaning his drains and to give him injections (little different from giving my horses shots). He has a tremendous amount of meds to take and one pain med. I'm doing ok with all of it but have made the decision to have my husband dispense the pain pills. I don't want them, don't crave them, but why tempt fate? I'm tired, emotional and slightly stressed. Perfect reciepe for distaster. It's just a matter of knowing our limits, guys. We're not superman and we're not perfect. Don't set yourself up.
Love you all and again, thank you all for all of your support. Couldn't have gotten through this without you guys.
