Hello everyone,
Well its that time of the year again, This will be my first sober new year in god knows how many years!
I must admit I have been doing it hard over the holiday period not drinking, I have been working extra shifts to keep myself occuppied,
Its New Years Eve here in OZ tomorrow nite, I am going to go out to some fireworks thing with my G/F, never been my sort of thing, Usally Im in the pub, last New years was a big one for me 40 hours solid of drugging and drinking,
Is it this hard for any one else out there????

And thank you for the support from you who have posted to me since March when I got on here, I am only 6 weeks away from one year sober now, that in its self helps me not drink.

Good Morning Ginge, I will be celebrating my 3rd sober New Years eve...thank goodness! I certainly don't miss starting off the NY with a hangover and no memory of what I did the night before! I bought a couple of bottles of Martinelli's sparkling cider to make a toast with at midnight. We have a lot of sober activities here in the South Bay of SoCal...not all of them are AA related either. Wow, you almost have one year sober...miracle! Great job. I'm glad you are my sober cyber friend....hang in there....you are doing great buddy. Oh, btw, did you get my new personal email address, I sent it to you about 5 days ago?
