Hi Everyone,

Tomorrow is the big day!! I have some family coming up from Miami and my sister and her family are coming over, so pray for me:o) I'll be sure to get that little bag of giblets out of the turkey before cooking this year!!! Have heard of so many new recipes on cooking the turkey, frying the turkey, etc. All sounds sooo good!!! I promised myself after the holidays I will get back to a little exercise and try to lose a little bit of the weight I've gained eating all this chocolate and sweets lately!!!

Anyhow, HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO EVERYBODY!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to you too Marie and to everybody. My mother made the same mistake as you did with the giblets in the turkey, lol. It was her first Thanksgiving dinner she put together for my father and his family. She started to talk to them about how she was so happy the bird was already stuffed because she didn't know how to make stuffing. My Aunt said to her, are you sure it was stuffed? Because birds don't ever come stuffed. Sure enough it was the bag of giblets. lol.
I hope you enjoy your day with the family. I have my kids here tomorrow so I'm putting together the dinner. I do every year though, Just every other year when they are with their dad I make the dinner when they get to my house again.

Hey Tina,

Yes, I guess I could have been on one of those shows of "lifes embarrassing moments" - my sister was asking me (last year) - "did you use the turkey giblets to make the gravy"? Im like - what giblets???? no, I just poured it out of the jar and heated it in the microwave!!. OK, then what did you do with the giblets that come with the turkey ??- so then the mystery was solved!! OMG - everyone did laugh their a$$ off - you had to be there.

Hey Marie, I did that one year too. I was slick though, lol. I took the little bag out and threw it away and no one was the wiser. Hope your thanksgiving is a special one full of lovely memories. Much love, Kat

I have never did that but my grandmother did it the first year she was married. Of course it was the first time she cooked for her in-laws. She told us that story often.......it was hard to believe because she was an excellent cook!

OK, now I dont feel so bad. Liz, I'm so happy for you that you get to have the kids there this Thanksgiving - I know how much that must mean to you. Kat - youre too funny - at least you got away with it and didnt look stupid like I felt!!!! OK, its back to cleaning for me. Time sure flies when I'm sitting here talking to you guys on the computer - dont you all agree. Seriously, I dont realize that sometimes I'll be here and I'll look at the clock and its already time for Tony to be getting home from school - I guess like they say, time flies when youre having fun!!!

Y- Happy Thanksgiving to you too. I better shake this flu or I'm in BIG trouble..btw, just watched that movie the other night..it's one of my fav's! I have two GREAT brothers..we all pretended we were one of them..I was the always the Scarecrow...I surely still need a brain...hehe

Hey you guys,
You have me laughing so hard I'm crying reading about the "giblets". I am cracking up. And I really needed a good laugh so I'm thankful to all of you.
Man, yesterday was horrible but I'm better today. I've been cooking up a storm here and you know sssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhh (i don't cook)! But I made deviled eggs, salad, my grandma's famous icebox cake, and I started the dressing. Big stuff huh? I'm tempted to go get a piece of the icebox cake to make sure noone dies from it but so far I haven't. Well I made 2 just in case one was junk. My grandma would be so happy. I just wanna know when it says beat the eggwhites til "stiff" ........ how stiff is stiff????? Geesh but I did my best and tomorrow I have a bunch more to do and yes I got the turkey fryer. Now if we can just keep the house standing in the process. hehe.

OK - its really Thanksgiving today-

So I wish you all a great day - HAPPY THANKSGIVING and my love to all - I hope that everyone's recovery is going great, or as good as to be expected. I really feel "good" today, even though still tired, my spirits are up because I have family about to arrive soon and looking forward to this wonderful day. I hope all of you are doing the same.
