Harrassment

Hello All Addicts and Alcoholics,

I am in recovery and I am trying to find out what I can do about police harrassment. I am on a fifteen month suspended sentence, and of course am on probation. During this time, I have been continually harrassed by the police: beatings occured, along with slashing tires, stealing plates, smashing windows, and falsely arresting me, saying I had a warrant, when I didn't.
I have heard some information in a law book: chapter 111, section A12 concerning drug addiction. Has anyone heard of this law?? Can anyone help me--point me in some kind of direction, regarding this predicament?? I'd really appreciate it!!!

Thank you, fellowship!

Chris
Chris;
Real sorry to hear your having all this trouble sith the police. Staying in recovery is hard enough without the law harrassing you. The pressure from that might lead some to use. Laws vary depending where you live. Can you get any support from your probation officer? Does he understand your in recovery and this sort of thing endangers your sobriety and attempt to live a better life?
Junem,

Hi! Thanks for the reply. But, my probabtion officer is not very nice<shug>. I am from Massachusetts. The Fall River police department and the courts are very crooked. The Fall River police department is being investigated for this corruption. I have had five seperate incidents of violence from the department. My attorney says I am picking at straws. But, this is my life at stake here. Do you or anyone else know of a good attorney aroung here.

Than k you fellowship...

Chris :-)
