Have You Heard Of Florida Detox?

I just found this website as I am in recovery from a vicodin addiction. In fact, I was on a Dr. Phil show not too long ago - end of October. Fortunately, I am still clean and doing pretty darn well. Of course, I still have my days of uneasiness - learning how to cope with life without pills. But, its getting a little easier every day.

I just wanted to let everyone know about the place that Dr. Phil sent me, that is, Florida Detox. It is an anesthesia assisted detox and upon waking I felt fine. I've had some mild withdrawals, but am getting through them. It just amazed me that a person could be detoxed and it could be so painless. Not to mention, I'm a chronic pain patient and they found a way to help me deal with the pain without pain medication - what a blessing!

I don't want to bore anyone, but did want to get the word out. I wish continued success to everyone!

God Bless,
Cara
Hey Cara,

How did Dr Phil treat you? He seems like he's nasty to some people that are using.
Hey CaraB:

Congrats on your successful detox. I missed that Dr. Phil show lol, but have heard of 24hr detox before. How are the Dr.s helping you with chronic pain? Wishing you all the best and enjoy your sobriety, it's still hard for me sometimes but I love the fact that I am clean. Hallelujah!!!!
Cara, I'm sure I saw the show, but don't remember names. In fact, my husband recorded it for me right after I admitted what I was up to. Thanks for sharing. What is Dr. Phil like? I've always wondered. Glad to hear you are recovering. Best wishes, Atlas
Now that your body is cleansed how do you stay sober daily and how do you deal with your chronic Pain?

Jeff
Cara,

Is your real name Stephanie?
I also underwent rapid opiate detox, only I went to colorado(2) times and went back to using because I was still in pain, and terriable leg pain. I wonder if we underwent the same treatments how you faired so well and I relapsed both times? Isn't that wild! Anyway, good for you!!!! Congratulations on your triumph, and may it continue forever! You, as we all do, deserve it. Sincerely, dana-
I have nothing kind to say about Rapid Detox so I will keep this short. The editor for Wired Magazine did an interview with me In the February 2005 edition of Wired Magazine. He was tasteful enough to leave out the most scathing remarks I made of the woman who took my money 12,000.and left out my personal opinion of her, at leat most of it.You can probably order the issue on line.It seems to have some advocates of it but mostly the article was not very flattering.
Im glad yours went well and hope you stay clean.I, unfortunately did not.
The biggest advocate "Dr.Bernstein" has certainly made his fortunate and is very condescending of any 12 step programs. Its whole philosophy is why hang around a bunch of loser who want to talk about drugs all day.
He has a very long list of famous people who have used his method with quite sucsess.Elizabeth Taylor.Im sure the IV demerol before her teeth cleaning is a necessary procedure.
As far as the Dr.Phil goes all I see is that if he cant huliate you to tears hes failed at his task.I would rather have adivise from Jim Carrey.
Remember folks....these are only opinions.
also, before they get your check, you are the most imortant person in the world.
Just wait till you get back in town.
That's what I thought about Dr. Phil.....
Cara -

Thats great that the detox worked for you. Of course, there are the physical withdrawls and then there are the "mental" w'ds. Has alot to do with mind over matter. Are you doing anything to stay clean, such as meetings, couciling, etc? Just wondering, cuz you were lucky to be able to go through the detox (alot cannot afford that). I would just hate to see you EVER go back.

Also Cara, how are you coping with the pain now? You said you were in chronic pain. Did you suffer from some kind of accident or something? Sorry for all the questions, just curious - Oh, and I live in Florida too!!

Good luck, Cara. Please keep us posted.

Love,
Marie
