He called me yesterday almost hysterical. I told him to calm down and talk. He asked if I could come get him. And take him somewhere so he could get help. Even though we broke up the other day I couldn't just let him be on the streets.
When I got to him he told me it was worse that he said (which I already knew) and that he shot up just a couple hours ago. He even go pulled over and the cop knew he was high but they didn't find his needles.
I told him I would take him to the emergency room. And then it was up to him. I actually work there and I kind of knew how the process would work. So I told him what would happen when we got there. So I stopped and got him some food since it was around dinner time. And took him.
It was hard to see him like that. So up and down. I hope he gets the help he needs. So that he can get the life anyone deserves. I can't help but feel sad. I sat there with him until he got a room. I think the program at our hospital is only like a week stay. He definitely needs long term.
It's up to him. Hopefully he does right for himself.
:-(
Been there, done that. So sad. Hang in there. Take care of you...be gracious and recall gratitude!
