Ok yall,
I got a question for yall. As you know i am10 days clean today and am very proud but as i posted earlier this week i have endometroious and i am in tremendous pain. I went and got motrin when at first i was takeing goodys but they were not strong enough. I have heard before of Dr. prescribeing 800 mg motrin the bottle i got otc is 200mg is ok to take 3 or 4? if so haw many times a day? if i take 3 or 4 will it help relieve more pain than 2? Someone please answer me im in pain!!! Oh by the way Hey rae, terrianne, teresa, redd, mj and everyone else i forgot that has helped me get this far. I couodnt have done it without yall!!!!! Love Ya,

Can your doctor who is treating your endo help you here? maybe they could prescribe the 800 motrin, I've taken them before for cramps and feel better within an hour.
I'm not sure if you can double or triple up on the 200s, but it makes sense that you could. Again, this is where your doctor would be able to help you.
A nurse told me once that motrin is actually the best pain reliever out there when taken as prescribed. Every 8 hours with food.

awe i'm happy to know i helped somehow. helping you helps me, as far as the motrin yeah you can take 4 over the counter ones to equal and 800, take the same as directed for the lower dose i presume, or to be on safe side call the pharmacy, they will be able to tell you. but eat something , that stuff tends to he hard on the guts. i hope you feel better soon.

Just make sure you're not drinking alcohol with ibuprophen. Very damaging to your liver. I would also try to take it only as needed and not ever day if you can help it.
I'm so proud of you for looking for help through other avenues besides narcotics. You really want this, I can tell.

AAAAwwww!!! Thanks yall..Sorry i forgot to mention cowgirl, jd, and trieditmom..All of you all have been so great to me and SUCH an inspiration. I do experience alot of pain with my endometrious and in the state of la no one will touch me to give me a hystorectiomy cause they say i am too young. They say 1 more kid or over 30..Yea right what a joke thats how i got hooked on this s***. Anyway when i first started comming here cowgirl you told me that u knew i felt like hell but one day i would be able to tell you theses word.. So here they are.........ready....

The biggest side effect with motrin/ibuprofen is stomach bleeding..... it is safe to take 800mg at a time (either in the form of one 800mg pill or four 200mg pills), but only for a couple of days a month.
If you have a clotting disorder or have had any problems in the past with clotting of the blood, make sure you talk to your doctor before taking Motrin.
