Hi Folks,
Haven't read anything yet, gonna catch up a bit, Paula, I hope you found a meeting, I just got home, dropped my dad off and went to a 7pm meeting. It was a great meeting, the speaker had 11 years, she had a very good message, and there were a couple new comers at the meeting as well. It was a good way to wrap up the weekend. I caught my limit yesterday, my dad got 4 yesterday and his limit today, the other guy got his limit yesterday in an hour! lol and got two more this morning. I didn't fish this mornin', my back was out, so while my dad fished, I packed and loaded up the truck, it was great spending the weekend with him. I sure did hate having to come back to the city, I love the country, but I did miss my wife and kids. Anyway, I hope everyone is well, talk to ya's later.

Brookies, rainbows, browns? Any size to em? I need some positive fishing stories (dont be afraid to embelish) I have been having lousy luck.

Hi Tom,
I caught 1 that was really nice about a 3 pounder, the rest were above the limit size but avarage, all rainbows, my dad cought a few that were around 3 pounds,
a couple rainbows and a couple palaminos, the other guy caught a real nice one this mornin' had to be about 4+ pounds, and yeah yeah yeah, I did loose two,
the first one I lost was my first cast of the day yesterday, it was a pretty nice one, and I tried my dad's rod out for a minute or two just to try it, and lost about a 5 pounder at least, I got it up to the bank, and forgot I had my net and when I reached down to grab it, it spit the hook and took off. It never did hit my line again, my dad just said thanks alot! lol I had already gotten my limit and since my dad only had 4 it was kinda like I lost his fish! lol But anyway, we couldn't have asked for nicer weather, it was absoloutly beautiful. Well, my daughter wants on the puter for a bit before bed, I'll be back later, have a good night.

Bob,, I am so glad that you had a great weekend fishing, I have never really gotten in to fishing but I love to collect old or antique fishing gear.. Does that count? LOL>..My Dad use to take us four kids fishing at the Dam when we were little, I think he spent more time helping us get hooks out of our clothes and hair and untangling lines and keeping us from fighting with each other than fishing himself.. We all had a good time though because we were a family.. I know you treasure the time you spend with you Father, I think that is great that you two have such a good relationship.. Treasure it... I did not go to a meeting this weekend I was out of town Saturday and today was my Grandson's 5th birthday party... It was so much fun I spend Saturday with 3 of my Grandkids and today with two more of them.. and in the process got to visit with all my kids an some of my other family it was a great weekend.. I am getting off work early Monday and I am going to call the mental health clinic and try to get some info on aa/na meetings, and if they do not have the info then I am going to start making more calls.. I am still determined to go to meetings, I want to do this.. My sister was telling me that when she was in counseling her counsler told her that he suggested aa over na, because he said more people went to them and that he just thought the aa meetings were better.. I have heard that alot but I am going to give them both a try before I make a decision which one I feel the most comfortable with.... Thank you so much Bob for caring enough to check on me it means so much to me.. I feel like you are there pushing me along saying you can do this, you just have to have the want to.....Thank you...

A.A. is what works for me, but I do know alot of people that feel the same about N.A.. Good luck with your search! lol Thanks for the post too, I called my wife last night from the cabin and I did ask her if she saw a post from you, I did wonder if you had found a meeting yet. I forgot that you said you were gonna call on Monday. If I remember right, you did mention it in another post before I left. I do enjoy the time my dad and I spend together, he is a great guy and alot of fun. Also a great guy to talk to, we're able to put father and son aside sometimes and talk to eachother simply as recovering alcoholics, it's a good relationship that I wouldn't change for the world. Sounds like you had a nice weekend as well, I'm glad, thats one of the things being clean and sober has rewarded me, being able to enjoy the moment I'm in, wether it be with friends, family, or just being alone.
