Anyone,
I was here about three weeks ago telling you my son was coming across country while detoxing. He made it here and wasn't too bad. Was drinking some and he said it helped him since sleeping was a big concern. He has now realizes it didn't help, but is having extreme stomach cramps and aches. He is detoxing off methadone, oxidents. Can anyone help me?????????

Sorry to hear that your son isnt doing well..how long has he been off his DOC???? make sure that he eats properly, gets some exersice to get his endorphins working on their own again, and perhaps some nutritional supplements ( go to the thread panic by michelle to read a bit on supplements)
Thank goodness he has you, let him know you are here for him, he'll getthrough it and should feel better everyday more or less....remind him of that when hes not feeling well..tell him it will take awhile for his body to get rid of those toxins, but everyday without them is a day further forward to feeling great..

It has been about 3 weeks now. It was really bad at first, hardly no sleep but was eating pretty good. Now he gets up, really really hungry in the mornings and then doesn't eat alot until late in the evenings. The sleeping is really getting better also. Stomach problems usually but since early this morning they seem to be severe. Thanks you

3 weeks is GREAT!!!!! You should let him know about this place in case he needs additional support, just knowing you are not alone in your symptoms and problems is HUGE....other than that, love him support him and know that he will have a few bad days but every day, every week, he is learning to live without drugs is a wonderful thing....Thank God for Mothers like you!!!!!
