My adult son has been on subutex since late December. I don't know how much he was using before then. He also gets panic attacks and had a doozy last weekend. Then I found out he was using again and had stopped the subtext. He tells me everyone slips but as long as you get back on each time the desire to use decreases and the time clean increases. But today he has lost his goods somewhere and is freaking out about enforced detox. He will not go to a detox center - he did detox from Oxy a few years ago by himself so he thinks he can do it, but of course rather not if he could find his stuff. We still have subutex in the house, plus Klonapen for his anxiety/panic attacks. Can he re-start the subutex to mitigate withdrawal and get back on the program?
Ya for sure...if he slips he can jump back on the wagon. I slipped a few times and jumped back on. And I'm determined to be clean..
It is known everyone's experience with buprenorphine is different for everyone. In my opinion for me I felt the bupe was difficult to deal with. Not being able to feel anything in my brain was hard to deal so I wanted to feel so bad that I would use a little. Constantly weening down and falling off the wagon..BUT in the end I will improve. I'm sure your son will too..
