I am pretty certain you could get alot of answers to this but for me....by the way my name is Darin and I am a recovering addict.......it was like a comforting, warm, dreamy like, slowed down, state of being. It allowed me to be who I thought everybody wanted me to be, and who I thought I wanted to be. It was a false security blanket that wound up wrapping me in total pain.

Hi, i'm a girlfriend of a 20 year addict. he is about to enter his second true attempt at being clean. He did it himself the first time. went off heroin and eventually methadone.i met him during his clean time. He has been using again for about three months and it is him who wants out. life is such that we will be together during this time. he has asked that i help him with his physical needs as we both know that his body is in and will go through hell. we are looking for info on natural foods and nutrients that will help his body to endure this time and recover the physical ramifications long term.(money is an issue) good health is usually my bag but this is out of my realm and i'm afraid to offer what i know to be good advice for a healthy life style (i.e. nutrition and exercise) furthermore, were going to be in a small town and dont want the word about that we have been at the library or local clinic looking for info on withdrawl. Usually the web is a great place to find info but we are coming up dry (no pun intended!) a lot of programs promoting themselves mostly. If anyone can help with appropiate links or anything else that he or I might want to know, please send it along. I hope this posting is accepted in the spirit it is intended....no nay sayers man...enough of those in life. Thanks to all who read it and may each or your lives be lived where they are and when they are.....
