Hi Bob, I received very much from your postings yesterday. Never would anyone be 'butting' in by joining on a post. I was never a confirmed Catholic. I'm a confirmed Lutheran, very similar I'm sure you know. (With a couple of major differences) Very similar service, body and blood truly present, etc. However as I said in my divorce the ex got the church. He's the choir and music director, etc. I really do miss thesacrament of communion. I've not found another church...kind of had some very bad experiences, but prayed your forgiveness prayer yesterday. I wanted to add a prayer of gratitude...as that is where I believe true happiness lies. In contentment and gratitude. I'm the worst when it comes to resentment and anger. I have such a hard time with the most important commandment. But spent some time on my knees last night and feel more at peace today. I thank you for thinking of us, God Bless yo for all the time you took sharing yesterday. Beck
beck, today, for your post i am grateful.
i really didn't want to interfere with your conversation last nite, but so many Catholics leave the church and the sacraments for various reasons during their lives, and many return. many don't return, i think, simply because no one along the way invited them to return. so that was the reason for my post, because each of you mentioned your catholic upbringing. for now, i'll just think of you as my "lutheren sister in faith." yes, i'm familiar -- there are many more of our teachings that we hold in common than those that may divide us. the holy trinity and the creed holds us together. please pray for me.

Dear Bob B. I certainly will pray for you and will ask the same from you. I really need some intercession right now...not all the way out of the woods yet. Still trying to learn to be single after a long, difficult marriage. Thanks for your kindness and clear thinking when things get blown out of proportion. God Bless you, Beck
