I've read many posts in this community and to be honest I felt that you all close to each other and like a family, I hope to be a member of this family.
I take xanax, I'm not sure if it is a pain pills or no.. but I felt down.
Hello and WELCOME.. so your on xanax, i use to be that and every drug under the sun that is in the pill catagory, hehe,,, but whats your story are u tryibng to get off are you off of the pills, can you tell a little about you situation?, also you already are a part of the board right after you posted and also how are u feeling today?

Danny, i have never had a problom with this med. But i used to take it after i had heart surgery last March. I never got addicted to it. I fact i realy didnt like it all that much. But i had a friend that would call me all the time to get some from me. I gave it to her just because she used to swap them for pain pills for me and it worked back then(how sad huh?) Anyway, since then she has called me asking me if i new of how to get more. I know that her Dr. gives her a script every month for 100 pills and she is usually asking for me to help her find some towards the middle of the month. Now she hasnt called me in awhile, but i thought that one thing she said surprized me one time, she told me that she could take 8-10 pills at one time and still not feel it working. Can this be true?? Like i said , i dont talk to her anymore but this topic was brought up and i was just remembering that. Just curious, and looking for someone to talk to.

Christina, like a pain pill, you build up a tolerence to a benzo. But a Benzo is WAY harder to quit. If she is taking 8 at a time, that is a recipe for disaster. You didn't specify which one, so I assume it is Xanax. That is a HELL of a lot to take at one time. Your friend needs help and quick. Give me more details, and I could help more.
Danny, i dont realy talk to her that often anymore. She was one of the people that i used to get the pain pills from so i have tried to keep away and loose the phone # if you know what i mean. But yes i do remember her saying that she could take that many at one time.!! I feel bad if its gonna hurt her. but she is older and she has been on it along time if i remember right and she said she new what she was doing. Yes, sorry, the med was xanax (if spelled right)

Xanax is correct. Well, 8-10, regardless of mg's, is a large dose. If it is .25's she taking 4mg a once and that alone is horrible. You can get 2mg "bars" as they are called and one is a HUGE dose.
Hi Danny and Christina, i must say i have been on Xanax on and off for years and never got addicted? humm i never got high off of them not even Valuim?? thats weird?? im glad though because i really need them once and again for myanxirty and all, i must admit that i have tryed to get high cause i was board and a damm addict , but it never got me high, maybe thats a good thing, hehe..how are u 2 doing today??
Me too, if I take one it does what its suppose to do (one 0.5mg) but if I take two, then I have to go to sleep. My hands not numb like it was, but is throbbing today. tyelenol still doing the trick tho, its just its in a wierd spot, you know that part where its between your pointer and thumb? AT least I can type today, but gotta go figure out how I'm gonna shower,

I'm using xanax for the last 2 years on and off, the first time I used the pills the dr. stoped it for me gradually, and I was very well after that, and stayed long time with no pills, but lately I something bad happend and I felt that I need those tab. to tolerate this life, then I stoped gradually by my self, and now I found my self getting easily upset and sensitive and kinda scared, so I started the pills again, I'm kinda depressed cause I know that these pills do cause addiction, but I feel that I need them, no one around me understand me or my feelings.. sat. I have a meeting with my incharge cause of some problems at work..
