HI GUYS, I'VE HEARD SOME OF YOU TALKING ABOUT HIPPA. DOES THE LAW HIPPA PROTECT YOU FROM HAVING TO TELL ABOUT YOUR RECOVERY/ADDICTION(EMPLOYMENT) ETC. IF ANY OF YOU HAVE INFO ON THIS I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR IT.
ALSO, MY SISTER IS ON DAY 2 CT PERCECET, OXY'S, T3. HER HUBBY HAD TAPERED FOR ABOUT THE 1ST 5 DAYS NOW. ITS DAY 2. AND SHE IS STARTING TO FEEL REALLY SICK.ANY ADVICE THAT I COULD PASS ON???
In that you are in control of her withdrawals I would suggest you go to the next page and read the Thomas Recipe. Please read the entire thread as there are parts of it many people do not approve of and you should be aware of them as well . I probably just set myself up to get lynched . Rob

I am not sure of your question... but there are a number of web sites that can help ... the anacronym stands for... Healthcare Information Portablity and Accountablity Act... (HIPAA)... It protect mainly in what your doc's and healthcare providers can devulge whether it be in written form, verbal, or via eletronic about your medical/mental history... to whom and under what conditions....
As for you telling your employer.. usually under certain jobs you are often under employment contracts to devulge there types of information for saftey reasons... there are laws to protect employees from termination due to revealing addictions as long as they are willing to accept treatment... as this falls under a medical disease.. but there again... the loop hole... 'willing to accept treatment'.. most addicts arent really willing to accept treatment which often intails surrender.. but the protection is there...
hope this helps.. I would look up the websites...
