Anyone watch it tonight? I caught parts of it. He was in detox, faced jailtime, and was supposedly on sub. At the end, the doctor in charge perjured herself for him and Wilson, who thought he was delivering him sub in jail, realizes House had a friend substituting vicodin instead. Disappointing. What I caught in the middle looked promising as far as his detoxing but in the end seems he just fooled everyone.
Hes also in severe pain so I guess he needs the vicoden. It was an interesting show tonight.
Then again the show is fiction, but its one of my favorites.

I saw it and loved it.
I thought it would be interesting to see how they portrayed detox and what follows but I guess the character is just not ready for that yet.
And I guess it was naive to expect House to go conventional anyway lol

One they drug test you in detox, or they did me and all the patients daily. They didn't House, so that wasn't realistic to me at all.
AND two, a CEO/Dean would not have perjured themselves for anyone.
I think it is a great show. Next week American Idol will consume me once again.

American Idol..........now that is a show I need to detox from each year. I dont get too involved with the beginning episodes of "fools" but sure enough, after a few weeks, it is the highlight of my week! I wake up happy on Tuesdays and Wednesdays just knowing the show will be on that night lol. And that aint no exaggeration! When the season ends, Im in a semi depression til Dancing With the Stars begins.
I didn't see that he was on sub. I thought he was just detoxing. I love that show. I love House and his F-you attitude. Typical active addict. I love the way he faked everyone out. Reminds me of the old me.
Loved the show and thought some of the drug-seeking scenes (e.g., going to the med clinic) were priceless, and very realistic. I'm still scratching my head a bit about the ending. Was his apology to the other doc part of the con as well? I hope that the longterm result isn't that he just keeps pumping the pills and functioning as a brilliant doctor, because that would be both completely unrealistic and harmful. Stay tuned, I guess........I'm waiting for the episode where the arresting cop is brought by ambulance to the Hospital with a life-threatening illness that no one but House can diagnose. Now THAT would present some interesting moments!
Kat , he used the word Bupernorphine, same as sub.
Oh. I only heard morphine. My bad. Hi Brook. Nice to see you. Fingers broken?
LOL shut up..
We love it here, too! I totally missed the part about Bupe, but was wondering why they weren't using it. Duh.
None,,,,that is exactly what my husband said! Only he thought it would be one the cops kids who get sick, and House will have to save them. What a bitter guy the cop is, huh?
I wondered the same about his apology. Surely, after all that guy has done for House, he would find a few nice words for him, but knowing House, he won't.
Great show.
PS.........one more thing! Speaking of it being unrealistic,,,,,,,,what are the chances of any dr. actually giving electric shock therapy like they did? I mean, no psychiatric intervention first? Yeah, right, that's going to really happen. I know, it's TV, but you would think they would try to be a little more by the book.

Carol- I'm sure it was an accurate representation but the machine they used looked like something out of a Frankenstein movie...
