A couple of years ago I was ran over by a boat; my rt hand was amputated and other multiple injuries. I was having severe pain, so I went to a pain clinic. I was put on 6 ultram and 3 lortab10 a day. I have stopped taking the ultram and cut 1/2 of a tab. I have not had a ultram in 7 days, but I read when you mix these 2 drugs withdrawal fron ultram is likely. I am hurting, irritable, horrible chills and jitters. I want off of everything because I was feeling worse than before I went to the doc. Anyone know how long this will last, and how I can ease it w/o other drugs?

I'm not familiar with how those drugs feel coming off. I know with the opiates i was taking after one week you feel you are gonna make it and after two you begin to feel like yourself again. Sometimes people take things like cold medicine and benadryl to help them sleep. I wish you the best and am bringing your post back up so maybe someone who takes Ultram will write to you.
Hope you feel better soon.

Uno,
I'm not familiar with ultram but hydro was my DOC. It's been a week for me since I quit and I feel fine. I took benadryl to ease the anxiety and help with sleep, as well as chamomile tea. That first week feels like you won't make it but after day 3 or 4, you start to feel better. What really helped me was coming to this board at all hours and just read and post. It will get you through the rough spots knowing people on here care and essentially are going or have gone through what you are going through. Take care of yourself, that is most important right now!
