How My First Day Working Went

it was way cool, the people i work with are awesome, no petty bickering about tips or tables, becuz at this country club place all tips are put in a fat jar and they are spilt evenly at the end of the night, which i have never experienced but it worked out well. eveyone helps eveyone, the cook can help me with anything i need, the manager who i worked with 3 yrs ago is right on, and the girl who trained is the bomb. alot of this is golfers who like to drink and i had to make alot of drinks and good for me alcohol is such a turn off after seeing my ex, its a moot point. this is the first place i have worked where they dont offer shift drinks after work, mainly becuz in oregon alcohol is srtictly governed by the state, and at this place no employees can sit around and drink after shift. i recognized a couple of drs and i look so different i dont believe it was a issue. my next days off are sun, mon, tues, and that is when i can go to a meeting i started with. in this small town there is 1 na meeting a night and they run 7-8:30 and i am about 8 miles out of town in the country working so i will have the opportunity to
attend at least 2-3 days a week. my hours are pretty much 1-8 and they are flexible so everything is going ok. one thing i had to ask the manager yesterday is my sister is coming from so cali next week and instead of flying 2 miles from the house, she decided to fly to eugene about 90 miles from here, she was trying to save money but i told her it really depends on what my schedule is, otherwise call hertz rentacar. well my manager was totally cool about it and i will pick up my sister next week. that should be interesting. they just called me in early today for st paddys.

take care all, i could not have done this with out you all

Carol, sounds great, just what you wanted! you are so happy and positive and that's very refreshing. you just have to get that state of mind working for you, not against you, and all sorts of miracles start happening, huh?

I hope things continue to fall into place for you. Just stick to your plan. : )
