doctor had me on hydros. for bout 5 years fer headaches, got addicated went thru rehab had famoly trouble cause of it lost wife after 20 years marrige now on oxys.ann ideas please email me.......im weak need all the help i can get..i have stoped many times but the thought is still there tat i can feel better by takin a pill sad but true .please help

I am so sorry about the breakup of your marriage.... I know that kind of stress makes drug use even worse, so I'll keep you in my prayers....
Have you quit taking the pills yet? Are you cutting down?
I know what you mean about taking a pill to feel happy.... For 2 1/2 years, my happiness has revolved around pain pills. I got clean for 2 months, then relapsed, and now am on day 6 of being sober again. The hard part for me is the mental part - the depression and fatigue that envelops me and keeps me running back to the pill bottle again.
Have you considered AA? I've only gone twice so it's not really working for me yet, but I know that it will. What about individual and/or couples counseling?
