I cnfessed to my husband and called my OB right after i started getting replys from all of you, which by the way I want to thank you all. The OB stated that Darvocet/Vicoden is commonly used during pregnancy without affects to the baby, but the truth is i'm just taking them for the high..I took about 8 a day..I have no illness that I need to be taking them for. I took myself off of them last night and so far i'm doing okay..i'm a little more depressed and sleeping a little more, but anything to get through the withdrawel. Please keep my in your thoughts and prayers.

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Believe me you are doing the right thing not only for yourself but for your unborn baby. I think that is wonderful. So many woman carry babies and do drugs and just don't get a shi*t but I think by you coming here and getting help with your situation says a lot about your charcter!! Good for you.. They actually and amazingly are some of the safest drugs a mom can take while pregnant but I would not have said so without you talking to your doctor.
They were most worried about my bp meds when i was pregnant. Still if you don't need them, why put the baby at risk for addiction? If you can withdrawl without stressing your body and baby too much? Did you tell the doctor you were going to just stop them???

Congrats on wanting to get clean for the baby's sake, but sometimes withdrawing cold turkey can have negative affects on the pregnancy as well. Please talk to your doctor about this.
Ok,i had to say something, yeah its great to stop the drugs, HOWEVER, it is not a good idea to get of the meds ct! i was abusing vics while i was pregnant and they had to put me on methadone so that i would not have no withdraw symptoms, see anything i felt , the babies would of as well.. so please , please talk to your doctor, this is very dangeous, it could cause the baby to have health problems!! i have been where your at and done that as well.... i wish you the best, please take care, mitzy...
