I've been sick now going on maybe two weeks. I have at times vomitted other times just feel like I will. I quit dilaudids, percocets and weed two weeks ago. Stopped drinking a few days ago. But, I'm still on methadone. I cut that down so much though. Dropped many mgs of it quickly. Do you think that I could still be going through wd's even though I'm on methadone?

I'd say yes, thats a big change your body is going through and will probably take a while for it to adjust. Hang in there, your doing great, this too shall pass.

Sounds like your little body is going through w/d, Liz. Maybe you cut down too fast? Is anyone else in the house sick? When are bodies are as run down as they are while w/ding, we can pick up other illness's too.

Dear Liz Though I am no expert on this I will have to say I think your body got a shock from stopping all thoses things at one time(By the way I think that is great)I think your body may need time to get use to Not having that stuff in ya.

Did the Dr. tell you to drop the Methadone or did you just do that on your own. After everything you were on , I wouldn't drop so quickly unless that's what you dr. wants you to do. I know alot of people who don't like methodone but I tapered on it but was only on it about 6 weeks, so didn't have problems like a lot of people did. I quess the longer you stay on it, you can get addicted to that.

No, I didn't get a doctors advice, I was in a counseling center but they kicked me out until I get into a rehab so there's nothing I can do right now. I don't have insurance so it's not like I can get a doctor to help me out here. I'll be in a rehab in a few weeks, right after my daughters graduation.

I could be wrong, so everyone let me know. Should she go back up on her Methadone where she was so it wouldn't be so bad coming off all that at the same time? I think that's what I would do, but I might be wrong. Suggestions for her?
Kansas, that is what I would do, go up a little, because I think it is too much of a shock to the body. I am on Methadone too, so she has to find the right level. Good luck..Kim
