I Love To Drink

I have always been a drinker. But it used to be only a weekend thing. Last year i took off with a boyfriend for a 2-3 month camping trip. Drinking every day. He is an alcholic and i have since become one too. I've been through alot of crap in the past year and a half. Not that it is an excuse. But drinking has been my only comferting thing along with smoking cigerettes. I pretty much drink everyday and i know i have a problem. But i'm not yet ready to work on it. I figure dealing with one problem at a time. I'm dealing getting over the love of my life right now and also dealing with an ex and his two kids. Both relationships happened at different times! just a very complicated situation. I have been pregnant twice in the last 5 months and both times stopped drinking as soon as i found out. Drinking just seem to dule the pain for the moment and keeps me happy for the time being. I'm not looking for any kind of simpethy or yelling. I'm just wondering has anyone been in the same boat? i am trying to better myself and be on my own for a while, but without the partying and drinking i don't think i could do it.Any input would be nice. Just try not to be to mean about it!
Hello, my friend who just turned 15 this month started drinking when she started dating a 22 year old man. We have been best friends since my mother died of cancer. I know that drinking is a bad habit to get out of because my friend is trying to do it. It helps if you have someone to encourage you and someone who will give you strength and trust. I give my friend all the encouragment she needs and she is willing to give it up. You have to have faith in yourself and trust in yourself to get rid of that nasty habit you have. Don't ever let it put you down and don't feel sorry for yourself. Just ask people to pray for you and pray for yourself that God might help you.
I was married to a military man and in the process of being married to him my drinking increased. I had always been a drinker but not like him he made my drinking more than I could handle or bear. Finally I began to pass out and I knew I needed help! I felt that if I gave up drinking which I myself enjoyed too. What kind of fun could I have as a human being everybody drinks! Not True- not everybody can drink, my father is an alcoholic and so was my grandmother you could say that I am predisposed. Don't be afraid that if you stop drinking your life will be dull. Get around some positive people and eventually you will find other ways to fulfill your time that are positve.
Think about your health and your children! I almost killed myself and my children in a fatal car accident because of alcohol in 91 I am blessed to be here today to answer your question. You only think it will be dull and no fun because you have adjusted your lifesyle around drinking. Change is hard for the majority, but this is what you must do if you want to live a fruitful and loving life! God Bless and I hope you find some peace. Surround yourself with people who care and find a support group that you can reach out too. Nobody is perfect... We all just have to put forth the effort and at least give life a chance.
hi there - your honesty is most inspiring.. sounds to me like you are being very mean to yourself. can you look in the mirror and tell yourself you love yourself. can you remember clearly what it was like to not drink. so easily your life can be consumed with an addiction and that is all you think about - any addiction is not good, and drinking does not turn out ever to be happy in the long run. think long and hard what you want with your life and where you want to head, what your goals are or just one goal and aim for the stars. Good luck i hope you make the right decisions for YOU. You are what matters most.

DEAR TAYLOR I AM A RECOVERING ALCOHOLIC NO BOOZ FOR 15 YEARS. YOU SOUND A LITTLE LIKE I DID WELL I WILL STOP DRINGING WHEN THIS OR THAT TROUBLE GETS TAKEN CARE OF. THE TRUTH IS THATS OUR MIND TELLING US ITS OK TO DRINK. WE JUSTIFY WHY WE DRINK. I THROUGH 15 YEARS AWAY TO A BOTTLE DON'T GET ME WRONG SOMEWERE ITS ALL PART OF THE PLAN GUESS THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION TO ASK YOURSELF IS DO YOU REALLY WANT TO STOP SOUNDS LIKE YOUR NOT QUITE READY YET. NOT TRYING TO BE HARD ON YOU GOD NOWS I'M THE LAST PERSON TO JUDGE ANYONE BUT I DO KNOW THAT WHEN I KIKED THE BOOZ IT WAS BECAUSE I REALLY WANTED TO GO TO AA JUST VISIT. SEE AND LISTEN TO OTHER PEOPLE. THEN DECIDE WHERE YOU WANT TO BE.

GOOD LUCK KEEP TALKING ON THE FORM
