I Slipped On Oxy, Again

i was on taltrexone for 2 months and went back to oxy. i do not know why, but i want off of this rollercoaster. anyone in a similair situation?
We all can relate...in different ways maybe, but all of us are on the same roller coaster.

Do you have any support at home? A doc that you can talk to about getting off of the meds?

You're not alone..just read all of the posts from the wonderful people on this board and you will see your story...

I wish you all the strength getting off the roller coaster. I kept making excuses...not the right time.....next week....next month....after the Holidays. Well, here it is right before the Holidays and I am 6 days without my meds. You can do it. You have to want to do it. You are not alone. Just think...it will be 1 week of feeling REALLY BAD,,,,,then you will start to feel sort of normal again. You will see the light.
Hello Smillens,
I just wanted to write a quick post, yes, alot of us are on that rollercoaster. I was on Oxycontin for over a year, and then unfortunately, due to pain, went back on. Now I am going back off again. My Dr. has been working with me, and it has not been as difficult, as trying to do it on my own. I am off of the Oxycontin now and looking forward to the next week passing, and being off of the taper meds. I wish you the best, and I agree, that rollercoaster ride is worth getting off of. Take care, Best Wishes

Keep Posting ;o), we wish you the best
I would just pick yourself back up again. don't beat yourself up....just look at what happened. One thing that someone taught me was that there aren't any slips....usually a slip happens long before we take that pill through our behaviors and thoughts.
Just start over, and find out what happened. I relapsed too, even after I went to extreme lengths to get clean. Sometimes it is part of the process. It is a lesson...
This is said in love...I was there and kicked myself so bad. But it taught me a lesson....a good one.
