I am a 16 year old girl who is recovering from a speed addiction. I spent 6 months in rehhab and really turned my life around. My mother uses speed daily just to feel normal. I know what it is like to have a drug problem and have a loved one suffer from this hoeeable sickness.I have tried to help my mother but you can't help someone who won't help themselves. I had to move out of her house a week ago to keep my sobriety. I am a survivor and I want to help whoever I can. E-mail me if you would like to talk. troublmaker0316@hotmail.com.
You are very smart and very brave for taking the option to move out into your own hands. That's always a good step. It shows maturity and the actual desire to want to help yourself. Best of luck to you and your mom in the future. You are right, you can't help someone who doesn't want it. Think about yourself, you probably didn't want to listen to someone when they offered to help you. You had to want to do it. Same with every other person in the world. I'll pray that you continue you to be clean. God Bless.
