I finally found a doctor about an hour away from me that prescibes sub.I made me an appoinment and its on jan.17,the first visit will just be talking and taking blood and uriine and a physical, the second visit i will be there about 3 hours, he will give me a dose and see if i did more or less then the third visit he will dose me again and see how i do. After that he will let me have 5 day supply from home then check in weekly. All together she said about 800 dollars, which that is not bad as buying hydro, 5 dollars a pill.Just wanted to let you guys know that i made the first step by calling.

John, i live in west virginia, how long did it take you to come off of sub? I 'am determine to stay on no longer then 4 weeks. Do you think that i'am trying to move to fast. I just do don't want to have to depend on sub for to long. And thanks to all of you, couldn't have even know about the drug if i haven't started posting here!!!!!!
Oh another thing the nurse told me that i need to start lowering my dose today, wonder why? They are not giving me my first dose till jan.18. Please be honest with me are the w'd's bad on sub, when i come offf of it?

Abby I wrote a little about that last night but cant find the post. I was on for a short term detox...10 days... and I had mild withdrawals compared to the perc withdrawals...a little achy..tiredness..stomach distress...nothing bad.
I think when your on the sub a longer time..say 2-3 months you have to wean a little more slowly and people feel so good on the sub they forgot how bad withdrawals were from their DOC and physcologically they're bad...but if you put it in relation to ct withdrawals..there not bad at all.
Its good to do a quick taper,but let your body tell you what to do, if your not ready dont be afraid to stay on a little longer. As addicts we want instant gratification..but this is a process.step by step, sometimes baby steps. So take it slow, relax and work on being clean and healthy
