I cried after the show was over..... Watching that girl Jerri was like watching myself only a few months ago.
When she asked her boyfriend "You're going to throw away everything we have because of this one thing?" and he replied "YOU'RE going to throw away everything that we have because of this one thing?"......
That could have been taken directly from a recording at my house; it's a conversation my husband and I had over and over and over again.
Seeing her get real anxious..... watching her making phone calls and getting nervous when her pain pills didn't arrive..... seeing her desperation when she ripped open the back of vicodin right in front of the mail center and swallowed seven, because she couldn't wait the extra few minutes until she got home.....
I've done ALL of that.... and seeing what I must of looked like, how pathetic I was.... it brought me to tears.

I agree with you girls, watching that from a different perspective really hits home.
Just wish they would show more of the rehab in the show.

Hey you guys......my God, it could have been one of us! I was just like that, checking, and calling and yes, I have even driven around my neighborhood to find the UPS guy! There must by 100's of thousands of other addicts like us who still do it everyday, poor souls.
I hated to hear she got kicked out of rehab, but I had the impression she wasn't really ready to stop yet. Guess she wasn't. It would be very cool if they did a show on the rehab process. WIth all the reality shows popping up these days, maybe someone will do one on that someday.
I would have missed the show if JR hadn't reminded us Sunday night at about 9:45. If you guys think about it on Sunday, how about posting a reminder that it's coming on. I will always forget it if someone doesn't remind me. We don't usually watch much on Sunday night, not even Desperate Housewifes. LOL
I turned it on guide to tape it tonight and I can't find it. On A&E at 10 pm tonight is a show called "airline". I don't see a show on at all called intervention airing this evening.... Are you sure that's the channel? Rae
I did see where it is on A&E this Sunday at 10 pm. It will be about a woman that gambles and a man on crystal meth.

Unfortunately Rae, you are right. It isn't on here tonight. Airline is in that time slot. It is on A&E, just not tonight. Next Sunday @ 10pm our time.
That show ROCKS! It is about addiction to pills this time? Er, I hope I remember to watch it. Damn Xanax heh. If I am able to watch it, I should make my husband watch it. Then be like 'See, pills are bad even the ones the dr gives you so when you try to persuade me to take an extra dose this is what you have to look forward too eventually. That is if I don't die because not only will I never receive 'intervention' but all of you try to make me take more and more." Then maybe he will see.... something. He will atleast see pills ruin lives. He will also see what hell it is to stop, whether you want to or not. Maybe then he will be proud of my taper from 4 mils to 2.5, rather than b**** about it and say I am going to have a heart attack or stroke one day if I don't stay on calming meds, he calls them. Truth is hehe, I see him alot clearer at 2.5 mils than I could see him at 4 mils.... hrm, is this a case of drug da biotch up, shut her up, pass her out, do as I please? Or paronoid thinking, it is one of the two and I don't like either. Those are my thoughts at the moment. I hope all of you are having a clean, happy day.
Here is the shows lineup for the next few weeks:

Parents and friends intervene to save Alissa, a compulsive gambler who has lost more than $30,000 on 25-cent slots. Meanwhile her boyfriend juggles three jobs just to make ends meet for them. #5.
Airs on Sunday, April 3 at 10:00pm ET
At 24, Sara had everything she ever wanted in her sleepy Minnesota town. She had a fairy-tale wedding in Hawaii, a beautiful baby girl, a house, three cars, and even competed in beauty pageants. Then, it all abruptly ended in divorce. Not knowing how else to cope Sara turned to Crystal Meth, and now uses every day, all day if she can. A self-labeled "junkie," Sara has lost everything, including custody of her daughter. She currently lives with her parents and exists in an endless cycle of drugs, stealing, lying, drug testing, and court appearances. Her family says the only hope for Sara is an Intervention.
Series re-runs shows 1-5
