It seems all the "tree huggers" and "Jesus disciples" are out in full force today. Can't we all just come here and get good info about pain pills and maybe crack a joke once in a while to make light of things? It cracks me up when people take things so personally. There's people dying of cancer everyday and some people whine because their poor feelings got hurt or their recovery is affected by words. Gimme a freakin' break.

I have a question for you.....You mention in a post about something, not sure what you called it but it sounded like a test to measure your physical pain, could you tell me something about that. I never heard of anything like that...

It's Biofeedback Training, Tina. You have a monitor hooked up to your finger and it measures pain intensity. Through training and an audio tape you learn to relax and it reduces stress and pain. It's almost like the monitor you get when you are pregnant....when it spikes, it hurts.
Also from this you can tell if you are a vascular or musculoskeletal responder to pain. For me, I was a vascular responder so anxiety increases the pain due to increase heart rate and blood flow. It's a great therapy. You try and get your mind to control the pain...it does work to some extent.
There's also electroshock therapy...

Thanks Eddie.....that sounds like really cool stuff. Gonna have to look into that more. Not to sure about the electroshock, sounds alittle painful in itself....lol
Now for you I posted earlier today, Interesting Info, and put a link in for some pain management stuff. Read some neat things on there, like loss of gray matter in the brain as we age can lead to back pain, and here I thought only cocaine ate away the gray matter....drug companies and the what they give to docs as incentives to push their products.....Check it out if you have time.

Danny - Word on the street was that they weren't getting along with Sammy at the end of the tour. I had front row seats, center stage in South Dakota to see them on the 13th of November and I couldn't make it (8 days into withdrawal). If I had to do it again, I would have stopped after the concert. I made 8 shows this summer though...bebopped around the country. Had a blast. I want to get down to Cabo this Spring. Do some Marlin fishing. Bring the kids to NJ...I'll take you on the boat. Kids love it. Even though it's a fishing boat, I can go 50+.
I heard "Rush" and "Yes" today also...played the axe for 3 hours too. Reflexes are a bit slow but I have to exercise my mind. I feel like I am starting to snap out of this benzo protracted withdrawal crap. BTW...Paul is bummin'. I've been talking to him. He's gotta start turnin' the corner soon. I feel bad. I know what he is going through. Opiates are a walk in the park compared to this.

Cowgirl - Paul is hanging tough. He has not been able to work because of vision and balance issues. He is trying to compare apples and oranges though (me and him). He can't understand how I can work and he tries to draw parallels that he shouldn't. I totally understand how he feels. He feels like a fire hydrant that's been pissed on. He is hanging in there. That's just fine for now. I will certainly pass on your well wishes!

lmao.....I am sure the jog won't be better but might be less stressful.....You gonna do the parade tomorrow....I have been thinking about going in and taking the baby to see it....Gonna be warm, but the parking will be awful...Got family and friends all a couple blocks off Broad St, always a place to go for food and a bathroom. Oh s*** haven't even heard where they are marching this year, city has nothing better to do but mess with the route..
