Ive Missed Everyone

Ive been working my a** off and havent had any free time to play with all my good friends on here.Ive gotten a lot of business the last few weeks and at the end of the day I just eat and crash.Im glad to see all the regulars and new ones come in.Im really appreciative of the friends Ive made on here that I can e-mail and catch up a little.Fall and winter on the gulf coast is like everyone elses springtime for landscaping.I havent even got to surf.
Hope to stay in more contact with you guys.Theres always good vibes. Not to mention a lot of good sobriety.Im afraid the only thing Ive contributed with that is contact with my sponsor.Ive gotta make the money while its there,
Love you all,Tim

Tim:

It is so nice to see you. You have been missed. I was wondering where you have been. That's awesome that you have been getting so much work. I hope things are going well for you :-)

Rachel
Thanks Rachel. Its always good to hear your charming voice.I like your avatar. That rocks,
Tim:

You hav been missed.

There have been a couple ho have gone through the rapid detox treatment and I think it was you who had a negativeexperience with it. When I was addicted in my 30's, read an article about it and thought it sounded like a miracle.
Your post made it sound the complete opposite of that

Just didn't know if you wanted to share your story with them.

Get some rest.
Jean
Actually Wired Magazine did an interview with me in the last February's issue about Rapid Detox.I was not very kind but they printed it anyway.I think its another way for people who are trying to profit off desperate people who will try anything that will save them from going through withdrawls.I was particulary nasty to the b**** who sold me the whole ideal, took my 12,000, then when I got home and told her how miserable I felt she said"What the hell did you expect, at least your not lying in a corner puking your guts out."Dude....I f*cking trashed that b**** and the reporter wrote almost everything I said verbatim. She was a c*nt.
The gist of it was I was looking for a quick fix again. The only redeeming factor is that Ive filed bankruptcy in October and most of that money was on there.
I dont recommend it to anyone. There are some real horror stories.I also went out to the Beverly Hills clinic.Who gives a rats a** if Liz Taylor went there. She can afford to get detoxed every couple of years. She has to have IV Demerol to get her teeth cleaned.Yeah, it works great.
Im sorry I missed that thread, or maybe its best I did.I still have a resentment. They treat you so good until your paid up then they force you out of the hospital with a "good luck".
Tim,

What's up bro? Unfortunately, you haven't missed didley squat around here. The board has been in a real negative tailspin, there must be something in the air because people are jumping down each other's throats every chance they get. Other than reaching out to newcomers who sound sincere, I've pretty much stopped hanging out 'round here.

How've you been? I did the bankruptcy thing as well, had my hearing a few weeks ago... slightly more than $12k though... more like $105k! My sponsor told me not to feel bad about it, I don't need to make ammends to Visa and Mastercard!

Be well,
Matt

Good morning Tim and Matt:

You are two of my favorite people. It puts a smile on my face to come to the Board and see you both posting. I hope you guys have a fantastic day.

Rachel
"Matt quotes-I don't need to make ammends to Visa and Mastercard!"

I did make my ammends. The cards were removed from my possession.LOL

Welcome back, Tim. And in such fine form, too. (I saw your post to Pauly, lol.)

You've got mail.
3 of my favs on one thread, how refreshing. Tim, how are you brother? I hope all is well. Glad to see the work's picking up, but that's got to stop, there is ocean to be conquered. I'll send you an email.

Tim, Matt and Flipper too...My day couldn't get any better :-)
Good to see ya Flipper.I like your avater.
Red-go read Paulys post about the sex drive.
Gina-Wheres my e-mail speaking of sex drive?
I agree Rachel... 'tis quite refreshing.

Now WTF are you doing up at 6:30am?
Hey Tim.

Its good to see you posting. We've missed you.

Matt:

I have been getting up earlier, thank God. I am going to the gym before work and then a quick, easy run through the Dr.'s offices and lunch at Fred Segal, lol. Life is good.

P.S.
I saw Dave Navarro at Starbuck's on 26th and Wilshire yesterday. I guess he would be kind of hard to miss :-)

I love ya',

Rachel
Rachel,

That used to be my Starbucks! I was working across the street for several months in the Verizon building.

Love you too!

Matt
Hey Tim...missed you too.A lot of BS flying around...BTW...back to day 21 here...my 90 days went bad....Lupus pain ...took some vicodin and some oxycodone off and on for 2-3 weeks..actually made the pain worse..went back on Elavil..a miracke drug for me..much less pain.I thought of you last night as I had one bi**h of an earache..used some of those numbing drops and took an 800 Motrin..better today.Nice to see you back...Love, Sharonn
Sharon-Dont get confused. If you were given legitimate pain medicine and took it as prescribed that is not a relapse.I missed that particular thread but there is a distinct difference.Only you know that.Pain is subjective. Its particulary dangerous to opiate addicts because of the idenity that we give it.There are precautionary methods people in recovery can use pain medicines. No one can tell you that. You have to make the choice of how much pain you can take.
Ive always heard that if a pain medicine is taken during intense pain it doesnt give you a buzz anyway.I havent been in that situation yet but have heard it from others. My sponsor who has 6 years is getting ready to have some serious dental work done where pain medicine will have to be prescribed.Hes scared to death and keeps putting it off because he doesnt want to have to take it.The situation is getting worse. This is crazy. He will face even more pain if its not taken care of.
I hope he comes to some peace with it soon.I certainly will not be the one to hold it for him but others could.
I think its also a thing that we feel like were bothering somone else with our problems, but you just have to suck up your pride.
It is medication. As an addict,I didnt use it that way but it doesnt change the fact that is what it is.
Go easy on yourself.
Thanks for the support...I just feel better starting over...I didn't get a buzz after the first 2 pills..but I did get moody and depressed..then I had some legal trouble and broke out in shingles...OW!!! Took Oxycodone(my DOC) for that..what a shi**y couple of weeks...but things are much better...have to resign myself to the side effects of this AD..it really is great for my pain and sleep(not my rump, however) Glad you are well...Take care, Sharonn
